The TV gods must have been wheelin' and dealin' all weekend, because there is a ton of news today.
Battlestar Galactica and 24 alumn Katee Sackhoff has signed on as one of the lead roles in a crime drama pilot for ABC. Starbuck is set to play a detective who works with an ex-cop solving crimes and mysteries. Um, isn't she currently a little busy being blackmailed, plotting murders, and planning a wedding?
Desperate Housewives alumni Nicolette Sheridan and Neal McDonough have both signed on for new series pilots. I wish Edie and Dave could have gotten their own spin-off about a psychopath and his second ghost wife, but at least they're back on TV in some form.
There's also way more pilot casting news. Highlights: Ugly Betty's Becki Newton, Vampire Diaries' Sean Faris, and the '90s' Rachael Leigh Cook.
Nerdy is as nerdy does: former Star Trek cast member Wil Wheaton will reprise his awesomely evil guest starring role on The Big Bang Theory.
Sex and the City writer-producer Jenny Bicks has a new comedy project at Showtime that sounds way more tolerable than any of her former works. The Big C stars Laura Linney as a suburban wife and mother whose cancer diagnosis forces her to shake up her life.
