Yesterday was a big day for TV! Can you believe that the Super Bowl raked in 106.5 million viewers, the largest audience in television history? No wonder I kept getting a busy signal while trying to reach Barney Stinson.
Good news for Sheryl Crow fans, bad news for Cougar Town fans: The singer has been given a major recurring role on the comedy.
An actor we do like? Christopher Loyd, who will be guest starring on Chuck! Where the writers are going with his storyline, they don't need roads.
ABC has picked up several familiar faces for its drama pilots. Friday Night Lights's Zach Gilford has joined the cast of Matadors, playing a guy in a forbidden relationship. The Shield star Michael Chiklis is set to lead in Greg Berlanti's No Ordinary Family, playing a dad with "special abilities." Typecast, much?
Jin -- I mean, Daniel Dae Kim -- has landed a new job as well. He'll be staying in Hawaii post-Lost, playing a lead role in CBS' Hawaii Five-0 reboot... that is, of course, if he ever makes it off the island! Dun dun dunnnnn!
FlashForward co-creator and showrunner David Goyer is stepping down from his position, though he'll still be "'involved' with the show." Is this the beginning of the end for the series?
Last night's Letterman-Oprah-Leno Super Bowl party had our panties in a bunch. Find out how it all went down here. I really, really wish Conan could have made it, but really, really understand why he (may have) declined... Leno is a notorious potato chip hog!
And finally, MTV has officially stopped pretending: The network has removed the words "music television" from its tagline altogether.

I am getting really worried about the fate of Flashforward, and I still have no reason why it seems in so much trouble. The premise is intriguing, the plotting solid, the acting variable but usually decent, the writing nowhere near as poor as is made out, and it still has time to rally ratings wise. And yet, another showrunner steps down and all seems doom and gloom about its prospects.
*Sigh* Any interesting serial dramas planned for next year to get hopeful about?
Chin Ho (Daniel's character) is not THE lead in "Hawaii Five-O." One of the leads, yes. But THE lead role is McGarrett, and that role has not been cast yet, according to that article.
I think it's more the *middle* of the end for Flash Forward. The beginning was probably that massive rating drop in the first half of the season.
Cougar Town is one of the few shows that's consistently funny and makes me laugh every week. If Sheryl Cole messes that up, I'm gonna take that shit personally.
Make that *Crow. I honest-to-god wish it was Cheryl Cole and not Sheryl Crow.
JB: North Korea uber alles!
So what, exactly, is MTV now? Just television?
