Against all odds/our hopes, Smallville has been renewed for a 10th season. Who knows, maybe it'll pick up again and have a late turnaround. I can't think of a show that has actually been able to do that, but there's got to be one, right? Anyone?

Let me get this straight: Dancing with the Stars is going to have an ice dancing spin-off? That insanely offensive Olympic sport? We already have to suffer through Jake Pavelka and Kate Gosselin this season... isn't that enough torture?

Time for something that makes me happy: More news about NPH's Glee role! The HIMYM star will play an old rival of Will who seeks vengeance against the arts, after his own disappointing career in the music industry. It's a long shot, but I hope he sings Blondie's "One Way or Another."

Because Hawaii 5-0 apparently wants to fail, Scott Caan has been cast as Danny "Danno" Williams.

Adam Scott is leaving Party Down for Parks and Recreation. Can't say I'm surprised he's ditching the Starz series, but at least it's for something great.

Okay, take a deep breath, because you're about to get a ton of pilot news: Jeri Ryan has joined ABC's Body of Evidence, Nate Corddry and Jonathan Sadowski scored lead roles in NBC's Our Show, Robert Patrick has joined ABC's Edgar Floats, Allison Miller will star in the CW's Betwixt, Alan Ruck has joined the CW's untitled Wyoming project, and Friday Night Lights' Matt Lauria and Devin Kelley have been tapped for Fox's Ridealong. Exhaaaaaalllllleeee.

And finally, Jimmy Fallon couldn't get the Saved by the Bell gang back together, but he gets an 'A' for effort for reuniting the cast of California Dreams.
