Emmy-award-winning programming is here! Seriously, some good TV comes out on DVD today, which means you can finally turn off that crap you've been watching.
South Park: The Complete 13th Season
Only South Park has the creative flexibility to create timely satires of the most important issues in society: the economy, overseas piracy and what Michael Jackson's ghost is doing right now. I mean, anybody can do a satire about equal rights, but only the Park can do it through a story about queefing sisters. And anybody can make fun of Kanye West, but only Southy-P would have him beat Carlos Mencia to death to hide his ignorance. Hell, the economy episode in this set won an Emmy! Take that, CNN's Moneyline!
Mystery Science Theater 3000: XVII
It took until this set -- the 17th, for you Roman-numerically challenged out there -- for Shout Factory to release the very first Comedy Channel episode of MST3K, which introduces Dr. Forrester and lambastes The Crawling Eye? Craziness! We also get The Final Sacrifice, The Beatniks and Blood Waters of Dr. Z, along with interviews, trailers and Part 2 of the short "General Hospital." Who could ask for more to make fun of with the assistance of robots?
Breaking Bad: The Complete Second Season
Witness Bryan Cranston's Emmy-nominated performance as the cancer-stricken chemist who pays his bills by running a meth lab, from the cliffhanger-resolving season premiere to the explosive season finale. Talk about making a wrong turn at Albuquerque...
The Ruth Rendell Mysteries Collection
Twenty-nine hours of DVDs bring you 17 mysteries by the "Queen of Crime," including one starring James Callis as a wealthy lout, one with Idris Elba as a pest controller and one with Colin Firth as a murder suspect. He's deadly handsome!
Monk: Season 8
Good-bye, Monk, we hardly knew you. Wait, that's not right -- we knew you very well. Eight seasons well, in fact. It was getting a little old by the end, there. Have a nice life in syndication.
Hawaii Five-O: Eighth Season
Interested in the upcoming remake of Hawaii Five-O? Why not check out the original series, so you know what you're missing when Alex O'Loughlin, Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park steer the remake into cancellation?
Destination Truth: Season One Finally, proof that the first season of this TV show actually existed! We assumed it was just a local legend.
