The first True Blood minisode (a.k.a. "A Drop of True Blood") just debuted, and while it was just a tease of the show I've been desperately missing since last summer, it was still a tasty little treat. I was actually surprised since I typically don't love minisodes or webisodes or whatever the marketing folks call them. But with this one, they managed to combine so many of the things I like about the show -- including Eric, Pam, Fangtasia!, '80s movie homages and terrible dance auditions -- into one brief, little scene. It's as if the writers somehow tapped into my psyche and put it all on film.
Watching Eric look disdainfully at talentless humans, watching Pam get all turned on by a sexy stripper and getting to see my two favorite vamps from the show together being bitchy just really made my day and will keep me content until the new season premieres on HBO on June 13. I do worry that the other minisodes won't be as entertaining because they might skew a little too serious in this short format. However, Lafayette is always amusing, so here's hoping.
