My sincerest apologies: Los Angeles dominates the news today.
After much speculation, and possibly in an attempt to make us all love them even more, the fine folks over at Modern Family have announced that every member of the cast will be submitting themselves into the supporting actor/actress categories at the Emmys. Adorable! They're all winners to us, but when it comes down to it, we're totally rooting for Manny (Rico Rodriguez).
Life Unexpected creator Liz Tigelaar may be the only person on Earth who believes her show will get picked up for a second season. Read her hopes and dreams here, and notice that Tigelaar refuses to make Lux the least bit likeable.
The fantastic Diane Keaton will possibly be starring in HBO's Tilda, a half-hour comedy series about a totally fictional Hollywood blogger who is so not supposed to be Nikki Finke.
In Los Angeles/cop show news, Law & Order may open up an L.A. office while former NYPD Blue star Ricky Schroder is attempting to produce and star in his own new show tentatively titled LAPD Hollywood.
Two great pieces of pilot news today: Billy Campbell has been cast as the co-lead in AMC's pilot The Killing, while Matthew Broderick's NBC comedy pilot just nabbed Patton Oswalt and 3rd Rock from the Sun's Kristen Johnston, though I'm not sure what that means for my Showtime obsession. One thing's for sure: If Diablo Cody kills off Neil (Oswalt's United States of Tara character), there will be hell to pay.
