Today's TWoP News: May 14, 2010

It's a big day for TV news, with renewals, pick-ups, cancellations and 10 billion rumors.

UPDATE: NBC cancels Heroes, Mercy and Trauma; And ABC picks up Body of Proof (which means Dana Delany is now off of Desperate Housewives) and Shonda Rhimes' Off the Map.

Chuck has been graced with a fourth season. A big thanks goes out to all you flash mobs, Twitter enthusiasts and Subway eaters for doing all the dirty work. Even though "Chuck Versus the Other Guy" would've been a respectable series finale, we're looking forward to watching the gang continue onward.

More happy NBC news: The network just sound out a press release announcing that four new scripted series have been added to its slate, three dramas and one comedy, all of which you can read about here.

If you haven't heard already, NBC has cancelled Law & Order, but is keeping SVU and has picked up Law & Order: Los Angeles, so you'll still be able to enjoy the franchise endlessly until the day you die.

Now, this isn't official, but it's big! ABC has allegedly renewed V and axed Romantically Challenged, Better Off Ted, Scrubs and FlashForward. They've also added another season to Lost. Just kidding! But what if, you guys?

ABC has confirmed the pick-up of six pilots for next season, whose descriptions I will again link you to, but I will say that they look pretty impressive.

Meanwhile, CBS has (predictably) ordered Mike & Molly from Chuck Lorre, a little ditty starring Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy. And say what you will about McCarthy, but better her than Alex Borstein. Did you know that she's married to Jackson Douglas in real life? I may never be able to watch Gilmore Girls again... which is probably a good thing, actually.

Anyways, Franklin and Bash, a drama about two feisty lawyers who join a big important firm, has been picked up by TNT.

And TBS has ordered Glory Daze, which "centers on a group of friends who are trying to navigate college life in 1980s Wisconsin." Sounds nice and Freaks and Geeks-y to me, which I can totally get down with.
