Today's news may not be Earth-shattering, but it's better than getting a Lyle Lovett haircut or rapping "Ice Ice Baby" on national television.

Non-spoiler Lost news!: ABC has expanded the finale by a half hour. They say it's because the finale episode came in long and not because they're just going to stuff 30 more minutes of commercials in there, and my Desmond-loving heart is going to give them the benefit of the doubt. In the meantime, there won't be any more Lost promos. Carlton Cuse explains, "Our feeling is that most people do not really want to see a bunch of scenes from upcoming episodes, that the joy of Lost is approaching it cold, with the mysteries of the show washing over you." Accurate, though that Willy Wonka promo from a few weeks ago is still the best thing ever.

The hilarious Craig Kilborn will soon return to TV with a new syndicated show. It's unclear what form Kilborn's new baby will take exactly, but it's not going to be a late-night show and it won't be on the Fox network, though it will be a non-political talk show that will air on the group of local stations owned by Fox. Stay tuned for more details and Kilborn praise!

Just when I thought my snark was waning, A&E announces that they're renewing Paranormal State for a fifth season. Yuck. On a funnier note, the channel is loading up on some trashy celebrity reality shows (one with Bob Saget!) and a few Intervention spin-offs.

On a somehow less-classy note, TLC has picked up a second season of their Hoarders rip-off.

Meanwhile, Bio Channel announces three new shows. Hopefully the William Shatner one won't interfere with CBS's Extremely Silly Things My Dad Says, or whatever it is they're calling it.
