Hugh Laurie is a man of many talents: Drama, comedy, boxing, charity, security, raising Stuart Little, etc., and now, naturally, he is recording a blues album. Sure, why not? I'm sure Band from TV is fun, but not terribly rewarding creatively, and the same could be said for the past couple seasons of House, likely minus the fun part -- the man probably needs an outlet. But what will the album's tracklisting look like? It's time to look up some blues standards on Wikipedia and guess.
"The Vicodin is Gone"
"Killing Patients"
"I'm Ready (to Move Back to England)"
"Little Red Flame Cane (RIP)"
"I Be's Troubled (By My Endless Contract)"
"Shake Your Moneymaker (Wilson)"
"Pretending to Be Limpin' Blues"
"Six Long Years"
"Help Me (Shippers Ruined My Show)"
And so on. Feel free to play along in the comments, and then see why last season sucked, in case you've already forgotten.

Oh, you did NOT Just insult HL's Musical sylings! "Band from TV" is one thing, but his efforts in his "Bit of Fry & Laurie" years are beyond anything you can predict...And here's my Proof...

I, for one, can't wait for Hugh Laurie's blues album.
Also a novelist.
Laurie has talent. He can play, and sing, as well as act and do comedy. 'House; MD' has had it's ups & downs, but even so...the worst season of House beats the snot out of the best season of Lost, or 24, or Seinfeld, or American Idol. I suspect that Laurie's music career will be rather more stellar than was Sanjaya's.

Hello! deefbed interesting deefbed site!
Have I just been insulted? It was as diuficflt to get into comics back then as it is today. Maybe even more so. There were no portfolio reviews at conventions in those days. Heck, there were no major conventions in those days. Paul could have easily rejected my story plot. He could have never bought another story from me ever again. There was one advantage then, however, that doesn't exist now: DC's horror books were the try out books where new artists and writers were given a chance. Frank Miller started out in one of those books. Many others got the chance and crapped out. Paul liked what he saw in my query letter. I had written it well. I told him that I had written articles for newspapers and that my majors in college were art and creative writing. He saw my potential and opened the door. After that it was up to me.
Naysayers? .naysayers???Sounds more like they have a better grasp on rielaty than the author. It is high time we started calling the enemy what they are, agitators, dividers and liars. In a state of public school indoctrinated dolts one man's vote has little impact. Ignoring the truth, reporting untruths and making nice with the enemy HAS NO EFFECT and it is time to stop. Hoping not to offend anyone is never going to win any votes, it only empowers the enemy. And make no mistake, democrats ARE the ENEMY. You have armies of fools in this state (and country) who vote not on what is ACTUALLY happening but on party affiliation because their mother told them democrats are for the people. DEMOCRATS DESPISE THE PEOPLE. That is the story that needs to be constantly told. Not this drivel of what a nice, reasonable guy one of the most racist members of congress is. Until and unless we take back the classroom, and that requires getting government OUT of the education business, all the voting in the world is not going to change anything. For the most part, the only difference between newly elected PIGS and the old PIGS is that the new PIGS are likely more corrupt than the old PIGS. The best we can ever hope for is to elect someone who will slow down the decline, it is never reversed heck, it is never even discussed honestly.
