Our favorite Global Guts host fulfills our dreams, while our nightmare of Snooki invading TV beyond the Jersey Shore is close to becoming true. More product placement for the Bump-it, at least.
Today's a good day for Glee fans, as everyone's favorite Broadway-belting boozehound April, played by Kristen Chenoweth, will appear on Season 2. As a bonus, Mike O'Malley has been made a series regular for Season 2, having recently been nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor. Obviously, we couldn't be happier. And Rachel and Finn will be together forever... or at least throughout this season.
In less exciting news, there are rumors that Snooki may be getting her own network TV show, with the approval of powerful LA execs who deem her brilliant. Yes kids, the greatest minds stem from a combination of orange spray tan, extra-strength hairspray and fist pumping encouraged by alcohol. The only bright side to this is that there will be more material for SNL's Bobby Moynihan to mock her with.
On the topic of stuff we don't want to watch, ABC has renewed Rookie Blue for a second season. Wait, Rookie Blue gets to stay on while Southland only got one season? Someone explain that for me, please.
Melina Kanakaredes announced that she is leaving CSI: NY, after being with the show since its beginning in 2004, and Sela Ward is taking her place. So that bit of news confirmed for us that CSI: NY is apparently still on air.
CW's Life Unexpected will hopefully get unexpectedly interesting with some new recurring roles. Arielle Kebbel (Dean's clueless wife from Gilmore Girls) will play Paige, the new bartender in town and 24's Amy Price-Francis will be Kelly, the new partner on the radio show. But we're more interested to see if former Melrose Place star Shaun Sipos will sign on for the role as David, the hot new teacher at Westmonte High. Will Lux (Brittany Robertson) take a page from Pretty Little Liars and divulge another student-teacher romance?
Fringe guest star Peter Weller has joined the cast of Dexter in the role of a Miami cop. Who else would be as entertained as I would be if Robocop makes a special guest appearance?
TV Land's Hot in Cleveland has found a way to include prepubescent teens in their viewing audience -- by casting Joe Jonas as Valerie Bertinelli's son on the show. Does this mean Eddie Van Halen will give a sex talk to the sworn-by-chastity Jonas brother? Or even better: have Betty White give her version of it.
