From a comedy about psychics to a drama about angels to an action series about motorcycles, there is literally a DVD for everyone this week. I mean, we won't literally give you each one, but you could each literally go out and buy one. I declare the "literally" backlash literally over!
Psych: The Complete Fourth Season
How is it that I have watched absolutely no episodes of this past season of Psych? Usually, I manage to catch at least one episode just through random channel flipping, but this year nada. Are the main characters still uptight, the cops still incompetent and the pop-culture references still plentiful?
White Collar: Season One
Quick, buy this DVD when the store opens, race home and watch the entire season at high speed before Season 2 starts tonight. Or, I could sum up: Matthew Bomer is man-pretty and wears dapper hats. Okay, you're ready.
Mystery Science Theatre 3000: Volume XVIII
The 18th collection of MST3K episodes includes such classics as Lost Continent, Crash of the Moons, Jack Frost and The Beast of Yucca Flats, starring Tor Johnson as the Beast. And by "classics" I of course mean "miserable failures that deserve to be mocked and ridiculed."
Saving Grace: The Final Season
There will be no more saving Grace. The time for saving is over. And in my heart, I always knew that the only way to defeat pure evil was through the application of Holly Hunter.
Street Hawk: The Complete Series
How did a TV show about a high-tech motorcycle that was used to fight crime, with a soundtrack by Tangerine Dream, not make it past 12 episodes? Gyp.
Also out this week:
The Super Hero Squad Show: Volume One Mark Hamill? Kevin Sorbo? James Marsters? The voice cast for this show reads like the guest list for a Comic-Con, and not the good one.
The Lucy Show: The Official Second Season As opposed to the unofficial second season, when Lucy dealt meth.
Golgo 13: Collection 1 Everyone loves assassin TV shows, but animated assassin TV shows? Even better.
Shark Week: Jaws of Steel Collection Do sharks have abdominal muscles? If so, I'd like to see an "Abs of Steel" collection of shark workouts.
