It's that time of year again, when a comedian we like gambles their reputation on hosting a big, lavish gala in front of millions of viewers. Will Jimmy Fallon fall flat with his Tweet-based comedy? You be the judge, as we also be the judge in this, our Emmys liveblog! Zach Oat is starting things off, with Mindy Monez taking over at the halfway point, and it all starts at 8 pm, after the jump!
8:00 - Great, the Glee-heavy comedy has started. The Glee kids can't afford to attend the Emmys, which cuses a star-studded (Tina Fey, Kate Gosselin, Jon Hamm, Bertty White, Jorge Garcia, Nina Dobrev, Joel McHale, Jane Lynch Tim Gunn) music video to "Born to Run." Jorge Garcia can sing! Tina Fey cannot. It segues into the live open, which is basically Fallon doing his best Springsteen, with guitar backup by Randy Jackson. I have to admit, it's freaky seeing Jon Hamm in a black shirt with a red pencil tie.

there isn't any vote splitting. the way it was explained to me (by a member) is that the nominees in any category are ranked, for instance 1 to 6 in the suppporting actor category. so it's by ranking not by single vote
Go Jim Parsons!!!!!!! I let out a huge shout when they read his name.
I'm glad Jim Parson's won. Very very glad. Also Jane Lynch. And that Modern Family thing was funny. This was a good year to actually watch the emmyys.
I did too Katie! woohoo!!!
Madmom, there is indeed vote splitting. They don't add the votes together and see who got the most "points." They give the award to the person with the most #1 votes (2 and 3 only count if there's a tie). I would personally have a hard time ranking the "Modern Family" cast in order.
I think the equation Cranston=Shalhoub may now be true. I've seen Breaking Bad. Cranston's great on that show. But, you'll never convince me the two best male dramatic performances this past year weren't Hamm and Chandler.
Kyle Chandler has given a consistently amazing performance. Why he hasn't won is beyond me. He was incredible this year and I really wish he had won. I'm pretty happy with the wins so far, but this one really sucks!
Daniel, Dee - couldn't agree more! Chandler is the best thing on TV (as is Britton - who also just got shafted).
Why the Kyra Sedgewick hate? She's awesome on The Closer. Do you watch it or just make fun?
Oh you have got to be kidding!!! Kyra Sedgwick is best female actor. Well at least she didn't thank her dialect coach...sheeeze
It was nice of Kevin Bacon to loan Kyra his spare glasses.
How is Sedgwick old-school when she's never won an Emmy? What? Congrats to her.
Those miniseries all looked kind of awesome. I'm sorry I didn't watch any of them. :( Jon Seda!
Kyle Chandler has done phenomenal work on FNL and it would have been great to see him win, but Cranston winning is never a shame. Breaking Bad is the best show on TV and he's a huge part of the reason why. It's a bit unfortunate that he's sort of monopolizing the Emmys right now, because everyone who was nominated in that category is great, but it's hard to fault the academy for going with it. This is not a Jeremy Piven or Tony Shalub situation.
Pacino for "...Jack" Someone in the room with me says that the real Jack made a circus freak show out of dying. Hmmmm
In regards to TAR not winning . . . before I saw Probst presenting, I figured he and Donald Trump would be watching at Mark Burnett's house. My question: can you have a circle jerk with just two guys? Congrats, guys . . . TAR didn't win. Now shut the fuck up, forever.
Another thing: is Modern Family winning an upset? I don't watch, and I figured either Glee (the Phenom) or 30 Rock (the Mainstay) would get Best Comedy.
oh yeah, modern family is some of the best story writing on TV. Very original, great characters, and talented cast. It deserves it.
It's not an upset. A lot of people were predicting "Glee," but "Modern Family" was the obvious number two guess for most people, even above "30 Rock."
I didn't care who won Best Comedy, because the winner in my eyes wasn't even nominated. When they announced the winner I said 'Community' and then ignored whatever happened next. Modern Family is so overrated. Not as overrated as 30 Rock though. And I would have preferred Glee to win, it has a lot more heart than Modern Family. All in all the Emmy's were lame. No Lost love (apart from the awesome tribute song) I wanted it to at least win Outstanding Drama Series, just because it has been pretty amazing for most of it's six seasons. The only two I was glad about was Jane Lynch and Jim Parsons. Kyra Sedgewick? Really? Ugh.
Whoa. Did TWoP just hijack the emmy's?
Not too many ridiculous winners this year. You think the voters *gasps* actually watched the TV shoes this year?
What's with all the Kyra hate? It's about time Kyra won. I admit I was utterly shocked since Julianna Margulies has sweeped every other award.
I figure they thought we'll give it to Kyra this year and since The Good Wife will still be good next year we'll give it to Julianna next year.
Glee might be a better show but Modern Family is more consistant one and well rounded one. If Jane Lynch ever left Glee it would flounder fast. Modern Famoly's ensamble cast is actually an ensable cast.
As for the overall show. I'm glad I actually watched this year. I actually liked most of the winners or at least didn't outright hate them.
If Glee won best comedy, my head would have exploded. Gotta be the most overrated show on TV. I don't get the appeal at all.
"Modern Family" is hilarious, and the Emmy was well deserved.
Thumbs up to Aaron Paul winning. Both he, and Cranston continually knock out the best performances on TV.
I watch FNL, The Closer and The Good Wife and while I like Kyra there is no way she deserved to win over Connie Britton and Julianna Margulies. If you watch all 3 shows you would understand why people feel Kyra didn't deserve the win.
Me too! I wanted to see Joel nominated for best comic actor and Danny Pudi for best supporting. At least Joel was in the opening skit. But how DARE YOU TWoP staff list Kate Gosselin as the second "star" nominated? How DARE you! It was funny with the inclusion of Tina and Jane and Jorge (and Betty and Jon). But never never should the hideous KG be mentioned in the lead! Stop encouraging her.
Much as I like Jon Stewart, I would have REALLY REALLY liked to see Conan win. The last few weeks of The Tonight Show were amazing, and there are plenty more years for Jon and Steven to share those honours....
This year's ceremony was one of the most entertaining and satisfying ones I have seen in years!
Modern Family deserved to win!
I watched the Emmys just to see them win. The show has great writing, solid acting, interesting & relatable characters, and is genuinely funny. It revived the family sitcom genre. It filled the void
when Everybody Loves Raymond ended. Eric Stonestreet winning was a wonderful surprise. I was rooting for NPH but Eric was also very deserving. I found his speech to be very touching.
It is great seeing an underdog win.
I don't dislike Glee but I think it is very overrated. It is standard highschool fare but is elevated by its musical numbers and hype. Though it was awesome to see a wonderful character actress like Jane Lynch win. If Glee was on the CW, it would not be nominated for anything. I find it to be a better fit for a network like the CW. The show got lucky with its publicity and promotion.
Michael C. Hall got robbed! Bryan Cranston is good but he already won two years in a row.
He tends to also overact. Michael took the portrayal of Dexter to a whole other league in terms of range, complexity, and emotion, this past season. It will be hard for him to top that in later seasons. It would have been also great to see consistent actors like Matthew Fox or Kyle Chandler win over Bryan Cranston. I don't get why Cranston is monopolizing that category.
I also find Mad Men to be so outrageously overrated. It already won twice in a row. It would have been nice to see another great show like Dexter or True Blood be rewarded. It would have been nice to see Lost win at least one big award during its final season. I personally felt Law and Order should have been nominated and had gotten so more accolades. It was one of the few seminal series on t.v.
Personally, I think Kyra Sedgewick deserved to win over Julianna and Connie Britton. Kyra was at her peak and I doubt she will win again. She had been nominated 5 times. Kyra owns that character and adds so much intensity & depth.
She carries that show by herself. I find Julianna to be bland and lacking in range. Connie Britton's acting is nothing special, in my opinion.
People should leave Kate Gosselin alone, she is not that bad. She is no different from other reality stars who use their fame to get more career opportunities. It is not her fault she became a tabloid and paparazzi target. People hate her because the media loves to target & criticize her. There have been other reality shows featuring children and families.
I also loved that Archie Punjabi won! I just hope, in the future, the academy chooses to spread the wealth. They should not let Mad Men and Breaking Bad dominate unfairly.
They need to look at all the performances instead of rewarding the critical darlings that get overhyped. I don't want to see the same people win over and over again. It was also great seeing Jim Parsons win over Alec Baldwin!

When I saw this web page having remarkable featured YouTube video lessons, I decided to watch out these all video clips.
Thanks for your post on this weblog. From my personal experience, often times softening upwards a photograph could provide the digital photographer with a little an artsy flare. Oftentimes however, this soft cloud isn't just what exactly you had at heart and can often times spoil an otherwise good picture, especially if you thinking about enlarging that.
I'm extremely impressed along with your writing skills and also with the layout for your blog. Is that this a paid subject matter or did you customize it yourself? Anyway stay up the nice quality writing, it is uncommon to look a great blog like this one these days..
It is the best time to make some plans for the future and it is time to be happy. I have read this post and if I could I wish to suggest you few interesting things or advice. Perhaps you can write next articles referring to this article. I want to read more things about it!
I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
Hi, can any body assist me how to get this video tutorial from this web page, I have watched and listen it at this place but would like to download it.
I all the time emailed this webpage post page to all my friends, for the reason that if like to read it after that my links will too.
After I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any means you possibly can take away me from that service? Thanks!
I like the valuable information you provide in your articles. I will bookmark your weblog and check again here regularly. I'm quite sure I’ll learn many new stuff right here! Good luck for the next!
The following time I learn a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to read, however I truly thought youd have something fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you might repair in the event you werent too busy in search of attention.
Hey there, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your website in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, amazing blog!
I like to work on Personal home pages rather than .NET, although .NET presents the ability of drag and drop elements, except I like PHP greatly.
Its extremely brilliant YouTube video in terms of quality, truly pleasant, its quality is really appreciable.
I am often to running a blog and i actually admire your content. The article has really peaks my interest. I'm going to bookmark your website and preserve checking for brand new information.
Thanks for this wonderful article. One more thing to mention is that a lot of digital cameras are available equipped with some sort of zoom lens that enables more or less of your scene for being included through 'zooming' in and out. All these changes in target length are reflected within the viewfinder and on significant display screen at the back of any camera.
Very great post. I simply stumbled upon your weblog and wanted to mention that I have truly loved browsing your weblog posts. After all I will be subscribing on your rss feed and I hope you write again very soon!
Wow, fantastic blog layout! How long have you been blogging for? you made blogging look easy. The overall look of your website is great, as well as the content!
I and my mates watch the soccer game clips at YouTube for all time, because they have in good quality.
Hi there, after reading this remarkable article i am too delighted to share my knowledge here with friends.
I have noticed that over the course of creating a relationship with real estate homeowners, you'll be able to get them to understand that, in each and every real estate deal, a percentage is paid. In the end, FSBO sellers tend not to "save" the commission. Rather, they try to win the commission through doing the agent's work. In accomplishing this, they devote their money in addition to time to complete, as best they are able to, the duties of an real estate agent. Those assignments include uncovering the home via marketing, showing the home to all buyers, building a sense of buyer urgency in order to prompt an offer, scheduling home inspections, managing qualification inspections with the loan provider, supervising maintenance tasks, and aiding the closing.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.
Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
I would like to point out my appreciation for your generosity in support of all those that have the need for help with in this topic. Your real dedication to passing the solution all through appeared to be unbelievably significant and have consistently allowed guys like me to arrive at their pursuits. Your informative advice signifies a lot to me and far more to my fellow workers. Many thanks; from all of us.
Excellent work as always. What I really like about your series are the fact that you are always focused and you bring a point home. Thank you.
I've been wondering lately - why it seems like everybody has been looking in the same places for the inspiration and you give answers. Thank you for the insight!
Great article! I am just starting out in marketing and struggling to discover ways to do it properly - sources such as this content are incredibly beneficial. As our company is based in the usa, it is all a little bit new to us.
You could certainly see your expertise in the work you write. The sector hopes for more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to say how they believe. Always follow your heart. "The only way most people recognize their limits is by trespassing on them." by Tom Morris.
I hope you never stop! This is one of the best blogs Ive ever read. Youve got some mad skill here, man. I just hope that you dont lose your style because youre definitely one of the coolest bloggers out there. Please keep it up because the internet needs someone like you spreading the word.
