Most important news of the day: The Situation won't be appearing in Bones after all. We'll give you time to mourn/celebrate.

Done yet? Due to contractual complications with MTV, Michael Sorrentino (whose parents at least won't have to worry about their free-wheeling son disgracing the family name since, uh, he never uses it) and his too-many-pack abdomen won't be playing a murder victim on Bones as previously speculated. Therapeutic as that segment could have been for the general public, I think protecting whatever small sector of the entertainment industry he hasn't yet defiled is of greater urgency.

It's been revealed that a contestant on the upcoming season of The Apprentice, Genesiac Folkes, was arrested back in May for attempting to strangle his wife, then took her car and depleted her bank account. Along with initially wanting Rachel Uchitel on the celebrity version of the show, Trump clearly knows how to pick 'em.

The Starz' digital media team is telling rabid Party Down viewers to calm the hell down by making season two available for download starting August 24. It's only been two months since the series finale aired, but what the volatile fan base of a prematurely cancelled TV show wants, they usually get.

In case you forgot that Jennifer Love Hewitt is still a working actress, she's set to star with Betty White in The Lost Valentine, a CBS small-screen film that Hewitt will also be producing. Hopefully she doesn't ruin White's current Hollywood hot streak, lest she face her own Super Bowl-commercial tackle (or hopefully it does suck, so we can actually see that happen).

God of dry comedy Ricky Gervais announced plans to start developing a Chinese version of The Office. One suggestion: Michael Scott making a cameo appearance as part of an international business exchange program. Given Scott's limited exposure to Asians in Scranton, PA (except for the waitresses at Benihana's and the random Korean lady who silently scrambled onto their modified church van), the outrageously offensive remarks he'd be bound to make in a well-meaning attempt to warm up his new Chinese colleagues would become quote goldmines in themselves.
