I once was lost, but now I'm... still kind of lost, so hopefully the Lost epilogue will clear some things up for me now that the Season 6 DVD is out.
Lost: The Complete Sixth and Final Season
Finally, the DVD set you've been waiting for, depending on your opinion of the final season! Actually, lovers and haters alike will want to watch this, since it comes with an epilogue that wraps up a lot of questions about the island and gives the show a bit more closure than "Now we're all dead and can go to heaven." The epilogue is also included with the Complete Collection, if you don't have any of the earlier seasons and like things that are shaped like temples.
The Simpsons: The 13th Season
With guest voices including Paul Newman, Pierce Brosnan, Reese Witherspoon, Richard Gere, R.E.M. and Phish, this was the season of Simpsons that was nominated for a Golden Globe. Ralph Wiggum is on the cover, and it comes in a limited collector's edition where Ralph is three-dimensional, unlike the characters in later seasons of The Simpsons. Here's a sample of what you'll be getting:
Gossip Girl: The Complete Third Season
OMG. GG DVD. STFU.
90210: The Second Season
While a lot of stuff went right in this season, it wasn't enough to get people interested in the re-launch of Melrose Place. Maybe they should have hit a hobo with their car?
NCIS: Season Seven
From the first episode's North African adventure to the last episode's pulse-pounding cliffhanger, we can't wait to give this entire season of NCIS another viewing! ...Just kidding, we don't watch it. It's about the Navy or something?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever
The amount of nerd rage generated by the release of this DVD -- which is missing 9 minutes of footage, is full-screen instead of widescreen and apparently has a disappointing cover -- could power a small American city, as long as they kept their air conditioners off.
Also out this week:
The Patty Duke Show: Season 3 Why aren't there more identical-twin shows on TV? ...No, good ones.
Flight of the Conchords: The Complete Collection They're in one case now, guys. No excuses.
Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan: Season 4 Vol. 2 If I had my own TV show, it'd be called Cat Shouter.
Pawn Stars: Season Two Between this and Hardcore Pawn, selling your most treasured possessions has never felt so dirty.
Ghost Hunters International: Ssn. 1 Pt. 2 And now, the thrilling conclusion to this bogus "reality" show.
Red vs. Blue: Season 7 - Recreation Sadly, this show about Halo guys fighting a war is more realistic than Ghost Hunters.

[Actually, lovers and haters alike will want to watch this, since it comes with an epilogue that wraps up a lot of questions about the island and gives the show a bit more closure than "Now we're all dead and can go to heaven."]
Too bad none of those answers were addressed on the show...it just makes it look like the blatant cash grab that it is.
For me, the lack of answers on Lost immediately made sense after I found out that the writers are Stephen King fans. Therefore coherent explanations, total self-consistency, etc. are all optional. "Never go into the light!...unless you're Jack or Desmond."
And as you'd probably guess, the epilogue has been online for weeks. It's interesting but it simply can't reply to all the viewers' questions. But if the encyclopedia disappoints, then I'll...well, move on with my life.
