Wherein I continue to feel guilty about how much I can't stand Lindsay Lohan, and James Cameron gives us another spy show. Yes, yet another spy show. Another one. I know.

Lindsay Lohan may be lending her comedy stylings to SNL as a December host. Assuming she stays out of jail and actually has something to promote other than a newfound ability to stay out of jail, that is.

Apparently unaware of the current over-saturation of this particular television genre, James Cameron is prepping to shop a TV adaptation of Lies to the networks. Undercovers just might want to rethink that whole "no mythology, just stand alone episodes" thing they've been so adamant about so far.

And the award for the most insane thing I've heard all month (can't say week -- it's only Monday, whoa!): Oprah announced today that she will be flying an audience to Australia for a 10-day, all expenses paid vacation... but that John Travolta would be their pilot. Holy crap, that's got to be the most terrifying game of "Would You Rather?" I've ever heard. Personally, I have difficulty taking the great Carrie Underwood's advice about letting Jesus take the wheel, I don't even know how to handle Xenu taking the wheel. I don't think even Wesley Snipes could handle that passenger out of control.

You know all those "diva demands" J.Lo was making? The ones that were making her Idol negotiations impossible? Yeah, apparently Fox called bullshit on almost all of them, and her deal is reportedly being finalized as we speak. I told you she was desperate, didn't I? This is going to be such a great season.

There's a new Game of Thrones teaser out. That show looks very drafty! And bird-heavy -- is it bird-heavy? I hate birds. I'm not reading the books if they're bird-heavy, I'm telling you that right now.

And this is apparently news -- despite a lot of very persistent noise to the contrary, people love -- and are not sick of -- reality television. Well obviously, but thank you anyway, Nielsen.

Well birds are definitely a huge things in the GoT books, in practical terms (remember, that's how messages were sent before the USPS existed) and as one of the bigger symbolic elements... (although I'm not bird person myself thanks to Alfred Hitchcock.)

I cannot wait fpr Game of Thrones. If that show is even half as awesome as the books, it's gonna blow everybody's mind! But if they rally do one season per book, George R. R. Martin better get crackin' on the rest of the saga, consodering how long it takes him to finish one. I've been waiting for A DANCE WITH DRAGONS for YEARS now!!!!!!
