As you know, Fox delivered us a disaster today in the form of a superfluous, amateurish, crackheaded webcast press conference confirming American Idol's new judges. They are: Steven Tyler, J.Lo and Randy Jackson, which everyone already knew. What no one knows is how Randy Jackson has managed to hang onto the show for its entire run despite contributing nothing. Maybe it's a matter for a later error-filled press conference.

Despite speculation, Lone Star is being given one more week by Fox to become a ratings bonanza. As always, Fox demonstrates their unrivaled generosity and completely reasonable expectations in this matter.

Everybody's known this for weeks, but the next Top Chef season will be an all-star one, and the lineup will be "revealed" during tonight's reunion special. I've been really happy with the names I've been hearing, but one is glaringly missing -- give me Stefan Richter or give me death, Colicchio.

Norm MacDonald is developing a topical sports show for Comedy Central, which is... an amazing idea, actually. He is very funny! And sports are often funny, too! Oh forget it, leave me alone, I'm coming down with the flu so make up your own joke about Norm MacDonald talking about sports every night.

USA has picked up one more season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, with Vincent D'Onofrio returning, but it has also declared it to be its last. Sadly, Dick Wolf is having some trouble accepting this. Even more sadly, he thinks a "Brett Favre-style comeback" is a positive way to describe something. Just tragic.

And lastly, Tim Gunn is the greatest man who ever lived. And not just because he agrees with me about how shitty Project Runway is now.
