With the new fall season imminent, the floodgates have been opened, and all of the big shows are hitting DVD, both the U.S. hits and the U.K. headliners. Plus some shows that never made it past a season or two.
Supernatural: The Complete Fifth Season
When we first heard that there was going to be a sixth season of Supernatural, we weren't sure what to make of it. After all, Season Five was building to a face-off between the Winchester boys and Lucifer himself, thereby triggering Armageddon. Where do you go from there? Well, Season Five didn't exactly end with the bang we expected it to, and Sam and Dean took turns being kind of mopey, but we had some fun along the way, thanks to the angel Castiel being such a source of laughs. And our stopover in a dystopic future where Sam became Lucifer and Castiel became a drunk and detour through a TV world where Sam and Dean were on CSI: Miami were icing on the cake.
Smallville: The Complete Ninth Season
You'd think an army of Supermen living in Metropolis would be the source of a very exciting season, but this one turned out to be more or less as bad as the last one, although there were more great superhero guest stars in the Justice Society, more cheesy heroes in the Wonder Twins, more conspiracy in Checkmate and absolute zero Lana Lang. Thank Krypton for small favors.
The Office: Season 6
Steve Carell's second-to-last season could have been a disaster, what with the two bosses and the sale of Dunder-Mifflin and the wedding episode and the birth episode, but while a few installments were pretty awful ("Mafia," "Scott's Tots"), the rest were just funny enough to balance them out. I guess I'll hold onto my Dunder-Mifflin stock for another season.
Chuck: The Complete Third Season
Viewers who stuck with Chuck through two seasons and numerous Subway sandwich promotions were rewarded this season with Chuck getting spy abilities and Sarah getting in Chuck's pants. And while they of course found a way to separate our lovers once again, it wasn't difficult to find a way to get them back together. And the Subway product placement was... tolerable. That's all we can ask, really.
Prime Suspect: The Complete Collection
People who have a hard time picturing the woman who played The Queen as a black-ops assassin in the upcoming Red and an Israeli assassin in The Debt need to remember that, on and off, for 16 years, Mirren has played a homicide detective in this British TV series.
Skins, Vol. 3
90210 has nothing on this racy teen series from the U.K., and this season features a whole new cast of young weed-smoking, sexuality-questioning students. Granted, nobody hits a hobo with their car, but not every show can get away with vehicular manslaughter.
Less Than Perfect: Season 1
Despite an all-star cast that included Zachary Levi, Sara Rue, Andy Dick, Eric Roberts, Sherri Shepherd and Patrick Warburton, the title of this show was still fairly accurate.
Also out this week:
Persons Unknown: Season 1 Reason for cancellation: unknown. ...Oh, wait, it was ratings.
The Colony We sometimes wish we could send the Bachelor Pad people here.

thirtysomething: The Fourth & Final Season "Dirtysomething": actual term, not just a porn parody title.

well you certainly aren't a Criminal Minds fan are you, Zach? Chris O'Donnell was on one of those NCIS LA shows or possib. an interminable Law & Order/CSI. However, for fans of the wonderful Criminal Minds, this is a celebration of their intact cast, before CBS does a hatch job and cans two female leads.
At least you got the Supernatural story arc correct.
Re: 'Chuck'. The rest of the regular cast have been stellar this season. Everything from JEFFSTER to Big Mike, Beckman to the ever-present Casey. He in particular has had some major back-story and personal development this season.
And let's not forget the many gaming and pop culture references along the way.
If you are looking for bags, then again there is a variety. When we speak of diversity in terms of the Louis Vuitton Handbags, which means in terms of size spectrum instead of colors. With bags, you can choose any color you want, and you can take anywhere.
