Surely, every young actress in Hollywood has an idea for a show in which she'd play a criminology student with mad crime-solving skillz and a mysterious past. The difference between them and Michelle Trachtenberg? Trachtenberg knows Josh Schwartz. Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will produce the show for The CW, and we will all watch it like crazy.

Based on what they saw, clearly Christopher Lloyd needed to guest star on Fringe. He'll play Walter's musical idol, which hopefully means more Noble crooning in the episode.

TBS has picked up two hourlong comedies: one a minor-leage baseball show by the writer/director of Bull Durham, the other about a wedding band, which unfortunately has nothing to do with my favorite Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer.
