Everyone's very incredulous about Anne Hathaway and James Franco being named as this year's Oscar hosts, like the people hosting it have ever been able to make the show seem any shorter or less pointless.

Hey, remember Lee DeWyze? Apparently not many people do (I barely do) -- his debut album is officially the weakest selling Idol debut in history, selling only 39,000 copies and debuting at number 19 on Billboard. Wait -- are we supposed to care about these people after they've left our TVs? If so, I've been doing it wrong this whole time.

Having exhausted all the old guys in music, the Super Bowl is going younger this season with a ridiculously irritating Black Eyed Peas halftime show. I know the new BEP album just came out, and they'll be on their second single by then, but I'm still shocked -- shocked! -- that this isn't a Katy Perry/Taylor Swift collabo. I'd say we dodged a bullet, but we didn't: It's equally evil.

Marc Singer, star of the original V series, will be joining the cast of the new V series, but as a new and different character. And with that, I'm reminded that I have to start watching V again soon. Oh, how I wish I could un-see that news item.
