Remember these two rays of sunshine? Well, you might be getting them back. Joy.
If you watched last night's dull Amazing Race finale, you likely saw the teaser at the end of the episode for next year's all-star season. But don't count on everyone you saw in the teaser competing -- I counted about 25 teams (way more than average), there's no official press release listing the teams by name from CBS yet, and nobody on the internet has a consensus on who's competing. As God as my witness, if they show me Toni and Dallas and then take them away, I'm going to... Tweet about next season at least 20% less than I would normally. I sure wish I were more powerful.
NBC is teaming with Mark Burnett to produce The Voice of America, an Idol competitor adapted from a Dutch series, in which judges turn their backs to the singing contestants, enabling them to judge them solely based on the quality of their voices. Yes, because contestants are never pre-screened, and I'm sure no producer would ever tell the judges who's hot and who's Susan Boyle to manipulate better television beforehand. That would never happen.
Anthony Michael Hall will be guesting on No Ordinary Family during February sweeps, playing a super who crosses paths with Jim. Sounds perfectly alright, but it ain't going to save that show from cancellation.
CBS has cast Dane Cook as Danno's brother on Hawaii Five-0. Nice try, CBS, but I'm not even going to dignify that blatant blog-baiting with a response.
Oh, and Heather Morris might be the new Buffy Summers, according to someone who started that rumor. It's obviously a longshot, but feel free to get all indignant about it if you must.

I would actually be fine with Brittany being the next Buffy. If she can do drama half as well as she does comedy, she'll do fine. Plus, we know she has the physical ability as well. (The TV Buffy was often dance-like in her staking moves anyways, so, why not get a dancer to play the 3rd Buffy?)
If people insist on trying to cast a new Buffy, I suppose Heather Morris is ok. At least it's not Taylor Momsen or Miley Cyrus.
Speaking of The Amazing Race, who the hell wrote the copy for that piece of garbage photo gallery on the homepage? I hope they weren't paid for it, since they clearly didn't bother to do any research. The reason for Nicki and Vicki not having to do a speed-bump has been well-documented in the post-show interviews.
