Out with the old, in with the new.
Eric Braeden, who has played Robin's dad on How I Met Your Mother, decided to pull out of the show at the last minute saying that the role wasn't big enough. Prompting Neil Patrick Harris to call the actor a d-bag on Twitter. Oh, Twitter. No filter. No publicity team to keep people from saying things they might regret. Anyway, Ray Wise is going to fill Braeden's shoes. Clearly he knows that there are no small parts, only small actors. And he's awesome, so I'm happy.
John Corbett is joining Parenthood for a bit. He'll be playing Lauren Graham's ex-husband. And no, he wasn't the person that played that role in the pilot and you missed it. He's replacing Darin Heames.
Brian Austin Green got a new job! You might not think this is exciting, but he was kinda awesome on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He and Harold "Michael from Lost" Perrineau are joining the pilot of The Wedding Band.
Richard Harrow, arguably one of the best characters on Boardwalk Empire, got a promotion! Yay! More of the Phantom. That might keep me watching.
Jim Carrey will be hosting the first SNL episode of 2011. Somebody stop him. Actually, he can't be worse than DeNiro.
Jeff Probst admits that this Survivor was "not one of our greatest seasons." Way to state the obvious, Probst.
