Today's TWoP News: December 7, 2010

Lots of new series are getting started up, including a few that sound... interesting.

Better Off Ted exec producer Victor Fresco has a new sitcom in the works, based on a Swedish TV series. It follows a couple who moves back to the husband's hometown with their kid, and documents their struggle not to turn into their parents. With Fresco at the helm, it has the potential to be great, and therefore will last two seasons, max.

We tried to have Faith, but it seems that Eliza Dushku has left Bird Dog due to creative differences. So sad. On the bright side, Rick Schroder will guest-star on No Ordinary Family before starring in a new Lifetime spy series, Meet Jane! A smart move -- from what I understand, ladies love Rick Schroder.

More new shows: The CW has bought a show about a musically gifted teen who passes up a scholarship to join an alt-rock band, and Fox is developing an animated $#*! My Dad Says based on the jokes of Nigerian-American comedian Godfrey. Plus: look for a new take on 18 Again on Fox and a kinda-sorta National Treasure on ABC. If Nic Cage is involved, we will set our DVRs.

The creator of CSI has two more projects set up at CBS: one about a female security expert and another about Treadstone, the CIA division from The Bourne Identity. He also has a show set up at The CW, about a team of paranormal investigators, which sounds kinda similar to that Vampire Diaries companion series. Can two similar supernatural series survive on the same network? I'm sure they'll work it out.

Three actors have joined the cast of True Blood: Christina Moore (Hawthorne) will play Texas housewife Suzanne McKittrick, Neil Hopkins (Lost) will play Claudine's brother Claude, and Chris Butler (The Good Wife) will play shapeshifter Emory. Expect to see some or all of these people naked.

Community star Joel McHale will continue to host The Soup for another two years. As long as he continues to do Community, he can do whatever he wants in his spare time.

ABC has created its own three-hour comedy block. Starting April 13, Elisha Cuthbert's Happy Endings will join Matthew Perry's Mr. Sunshine, two Modern Families and ABC's other comedies on Wednesday nights. Eh, what else were you doing?

Miss all of Breaking Bad so far? AMC will re-run all of it before Season 4 starts. Because they love you.

Why!? Why do we have to wait until April for Mr. Sunshine? I've seen the previews and it looks like the funniest thing to come along in a while. Heck, it could suck balls and I'd watch it since it has Matthew Perry and Allison Janney in it. The previews could be deceiving, granted, but considering what a serious dearth of good comedy there is at the moment I don't understand why they are delaying it.

They're not delaying Mr. Sunshine. They're delaying Happy Endings and Cougar Town until April. They're giving Mr. Sunshine Cougar town's spot between February and April.

The Godfrey show sounds fun. He's a funny comic, so this has the potential to be good. I don't know if I'd compare it to Bleep My Dad Says just because it's based on someone's jokes. It wouldn't be the first hit comedy to come from a stand-up routine (Seinfeld, Home Improvement, The Cosby Show, to name a few).

More people on Trueblood? Seriously? I'm down with Claude being cast since he's in the books and has some purpose to the story, theoretically. But there needs to be a major bloodbath at the beginning of this season, because that place is getting way too crowded. I really did love the first two season, and I still enjoyed #3, but Alan Ball just seems to be way too in love with his characters to be able to focus on a story and do what needs to be done. He loves them too much to kill them off, and can't help himself from going back and writing a lot of moments that, while nice to watch, were pretty self-indulgent in the end since they didn't ultimately serve a narrative purpose. Sometimes you need to be able to say "Arlene, you're great, but there's really no point to you right now."

Combination – A combination of suitcase is one that can be more than a style of pocket. For example, you can use a clutch, which is more than a shoulder bag or a Louis Vuitton handbag replicas, which can be worn on the arm or shoulder.
