Kiefer Sutherland is insisting that the 24 movie will not only happen, but that it will begin shooting in "eight months." He didn't mention a story, a screenwriter or other cast members, but the last person I saw make him angry ended up getting blowtorched and gutted, so I'm not about to question Jack Bauer. Happy definitely no question about it filming in eight months, Kiefer!

Defying how categorically bad it is, Hot in Cleveland continues to be a huge hit. Wednesday night's Season 2 premiere brought in a massive-for-TV-Land 3 million viewers. Wow. What would happen if Betty White started investigating naval crimes perpetrated by has-been dancing celebrities? Would Nielsen just burn down?

Idol, on the other hand, is in trouble. Last night's episode debuted at 24% lower ratings than last season's second episode, so you know, Idol's totally screwed. Like, a lousy 20 million viewers for a reality show that also has a comically high level of product placements to support it screwed. They must be so upset.

AMC is developing a remake of Danish show Man with the Golden Ears, a scripted drama about an aging record executive dealing with obsolescence in his field. Which is kind of doubly depressing, considering the music industry itself is also facing obsolescence in its own field as well. Layered, depressing and meta? You've outdone yourself, AMC.

You saw this coming: Antoine Dodsen is reportedly shopping a reality show. I don't really see this one coming together, but don't say I didn't warn you. (Who really needs a show are those "Auto-Tune the News" musical theater dorks, but nobody lets me greenlight shows, for some strange reason.)
