What do you think a younger version of Sex and the City produced by Judd Apatow would look like? Well for one, the annoying and boring Miranda wouldn't be one of the friends...

HBO has picked up Lena Dunham (Tiny Furniture) and Judd Apatow's pilot Girls as a series. Basically, it's a younger (and hopefully funnier) version of Sex and the City, with girls in their early 20s trying to make it in New York within career fields like writing, PR and art. Judging by Apatow's TV show record, it will probably last one really good season and launch the comedy film careers of the actors involved. Though, hopefully, Dunham doesn't decide to do a modern-day movie with Nicolas Cage as a wizard's apprentice.

A&E's Intervention will be getting a spinoff show called Relapse, which will feature "sober coaches" (ex-addicts) helping other addicts already in treatment. With the trend of follow-up shows for reality series (like 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom), there should be spinoffs for other hit shows as well. For example, life after Hoarders could just be Cleaner Weirdos or following Jersey Shore could be 30, Full of STDs, and Unemployed.

Fox has decided to revive their reality competition show 30 Seconds to Fame to air during the midnight Saturday timeslot, which will give people 30 minutes to decide whether or not the Saturday Night Live episode airing opposite it on NBC is going to be funny or not.

Piers Morgan's first guest on his CNN show replacing Larry King Live will be Oprah Winfrey. I can't imagine what she'll have left to talk about, after her 12-hour TCA presentation yesterday.

TLC will be giving controversial pastor Ted Haggard (who was caught in an affair with a male prostitute and admitted to using crystal meth) his own reality special called Ted Haggard: Scandalous. The most bizarre thing (besides the fact that anyone is interested in what he's up to) is that his wife is still with him and he is returning as a minister in the town he left after the scandal. I guess the male prostitute and meth thing was just a forgettable phase for him.

Amy Acker, Christine Taylor, 3rd Rock From the Sun's Kristen Johnston, and Scrubs' Donald Faison will each have roles on TV Land comedy pilots. This is probably TV Land's closest attempt at casting younger people on their shows.

Miranda was neither annoying nor boring. (Well, not after Season 1, at least.

Miranda was my favourite. Why didn't they cut Carrie's character instead? Although I don't know if you could call her a writer.

Well, the world of Judd Apatow, she is the most offensive example of a woman. The screeching harpy who puts immature man-boys in their place and calls them out on their behavior...so yeah, he'd probably not be too into her.

Getting divorced just because you don't love a man is almost as silly as getting married just because you do.
