After realizing that everyone would think he is a jerk if he didn't do it, Michael Rosenbaum has finally agreed to return to Smallville for the series finale. Besides, what else is he doing?

The dream of the '90s will live on for a second season thanks to IFC's renewal of Portlandia. I love making fun of West Coast hipsters, but will the joke even be relevant by the time the second season airs? Even if it means more of Carrie Brownstein wearing a mustache, I am calling too much of a good thing on this one. Although, if the show gets boring they can always just put a bird on it.

Smash, the show about the drama behind a Broadway musical, is getting some pedigree. Jack Davenport and Katharine McPhee have both been cast for the upcoming pilot. These castings probably won't make the show any better, but they certainly aren't making it worse.

James Tupper will be returning to Grey's Anatomy later this season. Maybe by then we'll care enough about tumor guy that this will actually cause some drama.

Ron Moore's 17th Precinct could easily have been rather bland. However, Stockard Channing has been cast as the lead. After six years with Laura Roslin, it's nice to see that Moore still knows he is good at writing awesome female parts. Of course, the show is still about magical crime...

Former Daily Show correspondent Rob Riggle has been cast in a CBS pilot as a retired football player. I just hope and pray that he doesn't become the next Jim Belushi.

Taking a break from fighting aliens, Elizabeth Mitchell will be making a guest appearance on Law & Order: SVU. Because after working on V, taking a role as a woman accused of molesting and murdering a little kid seems like a good career movie.
