Maybe it's all the sale-priced Valentine's Day chocolate I bought this morning, but next season's new shows are starting to sound good.
Instead of shying away from the controversy or legal issues, the cast of TLC's Sister Wives is returning for another season. Although, I have to say as much as I kind of like the family on this show, the patriarch is a bit of a slacker. Even with four wives he still has fewer kids than Jim Bob Duggar.
Fine. You've done it, Ron Moore. I am actually kind of excited about 17th Precinct. Magical cop show or not, I know you have something up your sleeve, and it must be good because you just got your old friend Jamie Bamber to come back to the States for this show. Be careful, Ron, at this point you can now only disappoint me.
Bones spinoff The Locator has cast Saffron Burrows as its female lead and the Locator's sidekick. Her character is a "a bar owner who knows her way around a helicopter cockpit." Clearly, she is a woman of many skills.
Aaron Sorkin will be making a special guest appearance on 30 Rock later this season. Hopefully, this will be after Tracy gets back and the two can collaborate on an off-Broadway production. If not then at least there are bound to be plenty of jokes about walking and talking.
Roseanne Barr is getting an unscripted series on Lifetime. The show will be about her managing a nut farm in Hawaii with her musician boyfriend. This sounds less like a reality show and more like a Terry Gilliam movie.
Cinemax has been trying to shake off it's totally trashy image as the place people went for porn before the Internet, so they are working on some original programing, including a show based on The Transporter. Other than more things blowing up, what's the difference between this and the channel's past shows?
Recent hatchling Lady Gaga will have a concert special on HBO in a few months. She is promising some "new moves," but don't be surprised if they end up looking a lot like Madonna's old moves.

The link to the article about the Jamie Bamber casting doesn't seem to work. Nice news if that's true, though.
Hope Bamber uses his own accent. Not really a fan of his "american" voice - which is high and whiney.
