Howie Mandel, in yet another attempt to revive his career after Bobby's World, will partner with FOX on new reality show Mobbed. On the show, hidden cameras will catch random flash mob musical numbers pranked on innocent civilians. Um, I think I pulled this stuff in college and no one laughed then. No deal, Howie. No deal.

Discovery Channel is set to renew two new reality shows: Gold Rush: Alaska and Flying Wild Alaska. I'm glad we have shows like these to wash out the bad taste Sarah Palin left about Alaska. Kudos, Discovery Channel.

THERE you are, Leelee! I was wondering where you went. The Robert De Niro produced CBS pilot, Rookies, has found its first cast member. Leelee Sobieski will play a bad ass California girl who can deal "with a gang-banger or a busted toilet." Uh, sounds promising?

Kiefer Sutherland, currently on Broadway in That Championship Season, may return to television for FOX (and Tim Kring -- start freaking out now, everybody) drama Touch. The story centers on a father and his autistic, mute son who can predict future events. I hope the show goes in the direction of exploring a parent's life in raising an autistic child. Why does the kid need to be autistic and mute to have special future predicting powers? What message are you sending here, FOX?

Bill Monroe, a former producer and moderator of Meet the Press from the late 70's and early 80's, passed away today. Monroe retired from NBC in 1986.

On a much lighter note, did you figure out who A is yet? We haven't either. Pretty Little Liars will celebrate President's Day with a marathon this coming Monday. Marathon starts at 1 PM and the newest episode airs at 8 PM. Caution: Hanna's new love interest might make you gag. I certainly did.
