It's the middle of the week and people are suddenly popping up in places you might least expect them to.
NBC's slightly gimmicky reality singing competition, The Voice, suddenly started sounding awesome today. Cee-Lo is in talks to be a judge on the show. While he doesn't seem to be quite as off-kilter as any of the Idol judges, he seems like the kind of guy who knows how to turn a phrase. Plus, he might be the only person who can make sitting in the show's spinning chairs look anywhere near cool. Oh, and the news mentions something about the guy from Maroon 5...
Jenna Elfman will be returning to ABC in a single camera sitcom called Bad Mom. She will be playing the title character, a single mother with a poor relationship with her kids. As long as she doesn't end up living with college dudes this show might actually be better than her last one.
Morena Baccarin will be a guest star on The Mentalist soon. Short of her biting off Simon Baker's head, I am not sure that even she can make that show interesting.
ABC is talking with Christina Ricci to star in their Man Men-inspired show about airline workers in the 60s. With Ricci on board this show is starting to look less like some kind of 60s nostalgia cash-in, or maybe she just makes me care less that it is.
Ryan Hansen is set to be in an NBC pilot called Lovelines. The show is a sitcom about a guy who cheats on his wife. Because if there is one thing that The Good Wife has taught us, it's that adultery is always a real knee-slaper.
Silas Weir Mitchell, a.k.a. Haywire on Prison Break, has been cast as a reformed big bad wolf in the fantasy cop drama Grimm. I don't think Mitchell has ever played a good guy so, as long has he avoids raft building, this should be interesting.
Canada has just developed the best cable channel ever, a loop of chicken roasting on a spit. This is bound to be much more popular than that channel with that pot of water that never boils.
Seth MacFarlane's shows just won't go away. American Dad was renewed for its seventh season today. Why does this happen and yet Futurama can't even get another half-season?
