Today's TWoP News: March 2, 2011

Today we learn about Top Chef Masters contestants, the final judge for The Voice, and a few other things we didn't realize we didn't already know.

The Top Chef Masters contestants and new format have been announced. Now all the foodies around the country can start to take sides based on whose restaurants they've been to. And for anyone who might not be so into celebrity chefs, they also made sure to announce that Christina Hendricks will be a guest judge for one episode along with her dorky husband.

It looks like Rachelle Lefevre is going to be leaving Off the Map to take a role on NBC's pilot, The Crossing. This doesn't mean that Off the Map is canceled or anything, so don't start your "Don't Off Off" campaigns just yet.

Christina Aguilera will be the third coach/judge on NBC's The Voice. Considering her drinking habits of late, I hope those spinning chairs don't cause too much nausea.

Wow, talk about insult added to injury. The Cape won't even get to have its last episode put on TV, only the Internet. Because, I guess, at this point it's only Internet nerds using Hulu who watch this show.

Showtime just gave us the start dates of the next seasons of both Weeds and The Big C. Do we really need both of these shows on the air? Is the subversive suburban housewife a genre we are all that attached to? There is still hope for the people on these shows though. Allie Grant is going to broadcast in the ABC pilot Suburgatory. Out of the pan, into the fire, huh?

HBO has just picked up a show about middle-aged men being middle-aged. It sounds like a certain TNT show, but with more nudity and cursing.

TiVo Alert: Extreme Couponing is premiering this April 6th on TLC. If this isn't the ultimate in recession era TV, I will be severely disappointed by TLC.

Delocated, that awesome [adult swim] show by Jon Glaser about a reality show star in protective services is getting a third season. It is really amazing how many things are funnier when you say them behind a digital voice mask.

Not even a new iPad announcement could totally kick Charlie Sheen quotes off of Twitter's trending list today thanks to last night's 20/20 and so much else. For starters, the man, the drug, the warlock himself is now on Twitter. How 140 characters can contain him is any one's mystery. More seriously, his twins were taken from his custody last night. Which would seem like a lose, but according to his twitter the man is still winning. And even more sadly, a script from the episode Two and a Half Men they would have shot had they come back at the end of February would have had Charlie sleep with a dude. But don't think that Sheen's character is gay, he's just bi-winning!

Totally over your dissing of Weeds, did you not tune in last year? Best season yet and Mary Louise Parker never fails to bring it.

Hating The Big C? Really? I start to wonder what's your taste in tv shows.

Wait . . . Delocated is awesome? Since when? I know the whole point of the show is that "John" (or is it "Jon"?) is a humungous asshole who would've been killed years ago, but the show wears me down at times. Sure, I've gotten some laughs out of it, and I did think of the show after Mischa Barton got "killed" on Supernatural last week (Paul Rudd and Scott "Mr. Kelley Limp" Wolf got that treatment on the show), but it's not "awesome." Right now, Children's Hospital is the [as] live-action alpha dog. Delocated would be second, since Eagleheart is too new to rank. And anything with those pudknockers Tim and Eric is dead last.

Kinda feel bad about The Cape. Yeah, NBC probably wanted to capitalize on the comic property boom and get something that was the opposite of Heroes (which was still better in its last three seasons than Smallville, but at least the show was trying to make things interesting. So . . . when does "Scales" pop up on Chuck as Jeff's deformed cousin?

I simply wanted to appreciate you again. I do not know the things I could possibly have worked on without those creative concepts shown by you directly on such a concern. Previously it was a very troublesome case for me personally, but witnessing the specialised style you managed that forced me to jump with delight. I am just happy for the guidance and even believe you find out what a great job that you are getting into training the rest by way of a blog. Most likely you have never encountered all of us.
