Will the craziness of Whitney Houston's family tree ever stop? We sure hope not...
BOB-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! No, not that one... Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's kid, may be getting her own reality show. Bobbi Kristina tweets that OWN has shown some interest. Oh, Oprah. You really can make dreams come true!
Woody Harrelson has been cast in HBO's Game Change. This upcoming movie will track McCain/Palin during their infamous campaign bid for the White House. Harrelson will play Steve Schmidt, John McCain's senior campaign strategist and advisor. Make a note to watch this. With Harrelson, Ed Harris and Julianne Moore in the cast you can bet it's going to win every single minor category at the Emmys and Golden Globes, and after Temple Grandin, you don't want another experience of watching one movie win 37 different awards without having any idea what it is.
Happy renewal Fringe! FOX has renewed Fringe for a fourth season. The more quality sci-fi on television, the better. Here's some other renewal news. FX may be renewing Justified so hang onto your spurs, Timothy Olyphant. Despite some fairly low ratings, you may just be sticking around after all.
FX has been busy lately developing a new show with Oliver Stone. The network's new conspiracy drama series is about a secret group called "the Darkhorses" who create fake news stories to empower their clients. This sounds like People magazine meets US Weekly, yes?
Some casting news for potential leading men. Wonder Woman has added soap star (and, hilariously, Knight Rider remake star) Justin Bruening as Steve Trevor, a potential love interest for Diana. Didn't they say Cary Elwes was a potential love interest for Diana a month or so ago? Let's put our bets on Bruening. I don't think anyone wants to see Elwes macking on a girl half his age.
In other casting news, Entourage is welcoming a new cast member. He may not be Charlie Sheen's greatest fan, but Andrew Dice Clay will join HBO's Entourage this upcoming season.
Time Warner is moving full steam ahead with their newest iPad application. Network heads don't think they're in their rights to air live television with iPads, but Time Warner argues that since they'll be streaming via its cables they're good to go. I understand the iPad is the new savior to all things technological, but can't a television set just stay a television set, and won't streaming live television kill your battery faster anyway? Let's not get ridiculous here.
