Dear Kyle - Please say yes! - Love, TWoP

While Friday Night Lights's Connie Britton has already signed onto FX's new horror series, the network wants Kyle Chandler to play the lead in their cops vs. capes show Powers. If this show happens, with this casting, I will literally explode with excitement.

In what seems like a terrible idea, Betty White will host a prank show for senior citizens on NBC. Thankfully, it will feature seniors pranking youngsters, and not the other way around. Those whippersnappers have it coming, by gum!

Arnold Schwarzenegger's big follow-up project to being governor of California isn't some big-budget action movie -- it's a cartoon about him as a superhero named "The Governator", and Maria Shriver will also be in it. Oh, Arnold -- don't hitch your wagon to Stan Lee's wheezing horse. Have you SEEN Stripperella?

As if to prove that they aren't the old, stodgy network they are, CBS will host #CBSTweetWeek starting Sunday, April 3rd and ending on Monday the 11th. To make sure the live Twittering of such shows as Blue Bloods, NCIS and Hawaii Five-0 by the shows' stars goes off without a hitch, CBS will be inviting its grandchildren over to help them out.

For those of you who were wondering how much skin we were actually going to see in NBC's The Playboy Club, should it get picked up to series, a clause in the talent contract leaves the door open to shoot nude scenes, although they would likely be added for the DVD release only. That's like greenlighting Cake Boss, but you're not allowed to show any cake.

While In Treatment has not been renewed as a series, HBO may try to continue the series in another format. Whether that means "TV-movie" or "Snapple bottle caps" remains unclear.

John Stamos would like his own TV show. Well, of course he would. Can we give him Paul Reiser's?

Veronica Mars and The Deep End alum Tina Majorino will guest-star on Bones as a special agent. The episode airs May 12, and the show will promptly be cancelled.

On Glee, Sue Sylvester will dress as David Bowie. I find this to be exciting news, and I hope she sings as him, too. Jane Lynch can butcher whatever Bowie song she wants, as far as I'm concerned. (My pick: "Fame.")

In a attempt to finally settle who has the most boring show on television once and for all, the History Channel has come up with a show about why states are shaped the way they are. The Weather Channel is expected to counter with a show about clouds that look like things.

That History Channel show has been on for awhile. It's more like a two-hour long special, though there is another multi-part show that details the histories of each state. That one is narrated by the great Edward Herrmann. The other was fun the first time, but is now run ad-nauseaum during the day on weekends.
(And yes, I regularly watch the History Channel. For fun. Why do you ask?)

I would watch the History Channel show, if I had cable/sattelite/whatever.

I'd absolutely watch that show about the shapes of states. You guys need to take a break from The Jersey Shore sometimes.

Rebecca, this show doesn't premiere until May. You're thinking about "The States," which is just about each state's history. This is different.

I vote for Jane as Bowie as Jareth, King of the Goblins. Who's with me?
