Bill Clinton turned down guest starring on 30 Rock. Hasn't he done enough to America?
Clinton could have earned some major cool points, but alas Bill Clinton will not star in the 100th episode of 30 Rock. So what makes The Hangover 2 worth a cameo and not 30 Rock, Mr. Bill?
Speaking of disappointments, Cary Elwes joins NBC's Wonder Woman cast as Henry Detmer, an "uncle-figure" to the show's star Diana. He may become a possible love interest down the line... does Diana have a daddy complex? I still get flashbacks of Elwes' role with Alicia Silverstone in The Crush and that carousel finale...
NBC's drama Playboy has cast the ultimate playboy. Jeff Hephner will play Nick Dalton, an attorney and keyholder in the selective Playboy Club. Lots of pressure for Hephner since the real Hugh Hefner will probably be tuning in.
Hefner will have his eye on other things with this bit of news. Battlestar Galactica alum Tricia Helfer will join another Ron Moore sci-fi project, NBC's 17th Precinct. Helfer will play Morgana, a necromancer who dabbles in spells, potions, and herbs. You know, this show actually has a real chance of being watchable now.
Who doesn't need a little more Jean Smart in their lives? Jean Smart has been cast in NBC's untitled Dan Goore pilot about Dr. Adam Foote joining his parents' medical practice and dealing with their drama as well as the patients. Smart will play his nosy mother Dr. Barbara Foote. Other notable pilot castings include Gabrielle Union in FOX's upcoming comedy, Little in Common, and Sandra Vergara, Kelly Hu, and JR Bourne have joined the cast of Michael Patrick King's NBC's show A Mann's World.
Some notable guest starring news was released today. John Stamos and Terrence Howard are set to guest on Law & Order: SVU. Wouldn't we rather see John Stamos wooing Emma on Glee though?
Nick Weschler will star in ABC's pilot Revenge about a woman out for revenge on the people who destroyed her family. Sounds more like an All My Children subplot than material to warrant an entire show.
No, no. Wait. This pilot sounds enthralling. TLC will air new family reality series, What's the Sell?!. The show follows three generations of women and a deeper look at antique selling. God forbid we have any cable networks left without a Pawn Stars-inspired clone.
Calling all nerds! HBO will preview fifteen minutes of Game of Thrones two weeks early, on April 3. Longest. Promotional campaign. Ever.
