If television has taught me anything, it's that letting go of the ones you love profit from is harder than you might think.

Regis may be leaving Live, but he isn't going to be off the air for good. Kelly Ripa's production company is looking to develop some kind of TV special with Regis front and center. Considering the people they are talking about replacing Regis with, it's easy to understand why Kelly's trying to milk every dollar she can from the man.

There are also rumbles that Katie Couric and Matt Lauer might be starting their own daytime talk show together. Even better, failed NBC executive but awesome Today Show producer Jeff Zucker might be working behind the camera with them again. They should just do local access in Portland if they want to relive the '90s so badly.

NBC is having trouble saying goodbye to Steve Carell, so the network is making its farewell to him last an extra 20 minutes. That's like almost a whole new episode. Especially because they wouldn't just fill up most of that extra time with commercials. Right? Keep calm and set your DVRs accordingly.

Are you planning to spend more time watching coverage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton than you did planning your own? If you are already blocking out your schedule for the upcoming royal wedding then you'll be glad to find that BBC America has unveiled its coverage of the event.

As far as fake websites for TV characters go, Rick Castle's is pretty nice and just launched today. Considering how actually good the books are, it really isn't much of a surprise that ABC let the site be more than just a placeholder. Of course, all I want now is to find Meredith Grey's LiveJournal.

David Cross may be eking out a living on IFC these days, but the other mastermind of Mr. Show, Bob Odenkirk, is getting his own live-action comedy on [adult swim]. As much fun as Odenkirk doing something that might include sketches again sounds, this better not keep him from dropping in on the happenings in next season's Breaking Bad.
