Who needs a produced pilot when your YouTube videos can become TV shows themselves?

The hit YouTube sensation, The Annoying Orange, will become an animated TV comedy series for six half-hour episodes. Emmy winner for Pinky and the Brain, Tom Sheppard, will write the episodes. Will it still be as funny as an animated series though? Are people really entertained solely by talking fruit now?

The Discovery Channel is adding up four new series to their line-up: Frozen Planet, Where's My Mammoth?, Penn & Teller's Secrets of the Universe and Best in the Business. Other new shows include Swamp Brothers, and Life on a Wire. Some of these titles sound more like circus acts from Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus... and yet I will probably watch them all religiously.

When you're not helping your husband run the country, what else do you do? Guest star on The View, of course! First lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden will be visiting Barbara Walters and the gang this coming Monday to discuss their support of military families. How patriotic of them.

Oprah's OWN channel is jumping into reality television. Their newest series feature Confronting..., I Owe You my Life (people taking "death-defying actions" to save lives!), My Mom & Me (...about a mother and daughter...), and Unfaithful: Stories of Betrayal (Oprah's version of Cheaters). Oprah picks great books for her own book club. She couldn't bring the same taste and tact to her television show? Come on, O...

Constantly-overlooked-yet-very-talented Patricia Clarkson and Jeanne Tripplehorn will star in the Lifetime Original movie Project Five; it will be an anthology of short films about breast cancer. You might recognize some of their directors as they are film stars Jennifer Aniston, Patty Jenkins, Demi Moore, and even musician Alicia Keys. I have faith in Alicia Keys' directing skills. I mean, she wasn't ALL bad as Scar-Jo's side kick in The Nanny Diaries... right?

Hollywood's most untalented celebrity gets his own stand up show on television now. Showtime will air Nick Cannon's first-ever stand-up special, Nick Cannon: Mr. Showbiz! You know Mariah Carey got him this gig... her and that baby glow the men fawn over now.
