Cancellation/pick-ups avalanche.
It's raining blood over at ABC today. V, Off the Map, Brothers & Sisters, No Ordinary Family, Better with You, Detroit 1-8-7 and Mr. Sunshine have all been canceled. New pick-ups include Good Christian Belles (formerly Good Christian Bitches -- I loved the original title, but can live with the new one), Charlie's Angels (which I hear is just awful, but we'll see), Once Upon a Time, Pan Am, Revenge, Scandal (new Shonda Rhimes) and The River. Interestingly, Marc Cherry's promising-sounding Hallelujah, starring Terry O'Quinn, didn't get a pick-up, and neither did Poe, the drama about Edgar Allen Poe solving mysteries in 19th-century Boston. We'll know more when ABC has their Upfront presentation next Tuesday, so check back for coverage then.
Oh, and they renewed Happy Endings. Good job not being the worst sitcom about a group of couples, guys!
After renewing Parenthood and Harry's Law, NBC also got stabby today, unsurprisingly canceling Outsourced, The Event and Law & Order: LA, while picking up British remake Free Agents, Bent (starring Amanda Peet) and Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea. Also, they passed on Wonder Woman, which is obviously a smart move, but how disappointing is it that we'll never see that awful thing?
Two and a Half Men has found their Charlie Sheen replacement in Ashton Kutcher, who will play a new character and cost about half as much as Charlie Sheen did. This is great. I like Ashton Kutcher where I'm least likely to come across him: on CBS.
And all you Chuck devotees I'm sure have already heard, but the eternal bubble show has been renewed for a shortened (13 episodes) final fifth season. Now stop eating Subway; you're starting to smell.

Damn... I was kind of excited about Poe.
Don't worry, there's always the possibility of a mid-season pick up.
I was looking forward to Poe as well. A mid-season pick up is not likely, though, right? I don't really know how these things work, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
And poor Adrianne Palicki can't seem to catch a break.
Ah Man.
I really wanted No Ordinary Family to come back mainly for the George and Katie factor.
Enjoyed Off the Map thought a second season would improve things.
V..half in half about that one. But didn't really reach potential.
Yay on Happy Endings, I frickin love that show.
Couldn't stand Outsourced and rather not have my eyes bleed blood but would have liked to see the Wonderwomen pilot
RE: 2 & 1/2 Men; I think this was done Solely as a mathematic ploy. With Sheen leaving & Angus T. Jones Fully Grown up to full man status, they needed the extra "half man" to balance things out. Enter Ashton Kutcher who's already a Man-Child, and the equation is restored.
That Terry O'Quinn show isn't the one they were going to develop with Michael Emerson (with them as former Black Ops agents) was it? 'Cause that would suck.
I don't remember hearing about 'Revenge'.
I'm disappointed about Poe and Terry O'Quinn show (even though I know nothing about it).
My moms gonna be pissed about the event
