Two and a Half Men is somehow still managing to stay in the headlines, even post-Charlie Sheen.
The show has decided not to submit themselves to the Emmys for best comedy this year, likely due to all of the behind-the-scenes drama made so public you couldn't escape it even if you tried. And in other Two and a Half Men news, a man threatened to blow up a local TV station over the weekend if they didn't stop airing reruns of the show. That man was really a woman, and that woman was me.
Casting news! Paget Brewster has signed on for the next season of Criminal Minds, regular Rachel Nichols has been let go, and Thomas Gibson is still in negotiations. Debi Mazar and LaMonica Garrett have both signed on for the next season of Sons of Anarchy.
It looks like Cougar Town is officially (and at long last) changing its title. After a ton of fan feedback over the weekend, Creator Bill Lawrence tweeted his decision, and later claimed that the best fan pitch so far has been Friends With Beverages. I am in the minority that has watched Cougar Town and not liked it at all. But I am for any showrunner that loves and keeps in touch with their fan base (see Community's Dan Harmon and How I Met Your Mother's Carter Bays), so kudos to Bill Lawrence for doing so.
Christopher Knight (once upon a time Peter Brady) and Adrianne Curry (the first winner of America's Next Top Model) are separating after five years of marriage. They met on VH1's disgustingly bad reality show, The Surreal Life, so in a way, it is kind of surprising to see them separate. They may have been the only two people in the world that could stand one another.
Snooki crashed into the back of a police car while driving in Italy. No alcohol was involved in the incident, and no one was seriously hurt. Actually, if you've seen a few episodes of Jersey Shore, this probably doesn't shock you. The housemates never let her drive, and when they do, it's more terrifying than... my own driving. Which is saying something.
Wow, wow, wow. Although Cheryl Cole's role on the US version of The X Factor is still up in the air, Simon Cowell and ITV confirmed today that she will no longer be a part of the British version of the show, and has been replaced by Kelly Rowland. This does not bode well for her future on the US version...
George Lucas says he has 50 hours of scripts worth of his Star Wars live-action TV show ready to go, but is "waiting for a technological breakthrough to make shooting financially feasible and get the series on the air." Wasn't George Lucas once the one that created said "technological breakthroughs"?

Friends With Beverages sounds even worse than Cougar Town!
Cheryl wasn't going to be on the UK version of The X Factor anyway, since it would have clashed with her role on the US version. It was announced a long time ago that she'd no longer be a part of the British version. All this means is that she's not taking her old job back as a consolation prize. Good on her.
Also, I prefer Cougar Town over Friends With Beverages. The more I think about the new name, the more I hate it.
How about "All My Winey Friends" or "The Days of Wine and Cougars" - never seen an episode - so it could be called "Cancelled" for all I really care.
Quite nice article, but I did not agree with the ideas you made in the second sentence. Could you please explain it again? Best regards Frank
You ought to actually think about working on creating this site into a serious authority on this subject. You certainly have a grasp of the subjects everyone seems to be looking for on this web site anyhow and you might even make some money off of some advertisements. Just a thought, best of luck in whatever you do!
