It's a sad day for Elliot Stabler fans.
Chris Meloni is leaving Law & Order: SVU after 12 seasons with the show. Maybe he and Lisa Edelstein can join forces in a new Broadway musical called Gone But Not Forgotten, about brilliant but consistently underappreciated actors. And the big opening number could feature the entire cast of Friday Night Lights.
Kevin Costner will star in and co-produce The History Channel's miniseries The Hatfields and McCoys as "Devil" Anse Hatfield. Execs saw Swing Vote and thought the Devil would be appropriate casting for him.
Soul Food and Prison Break star Rockmond Dunbar has signed on for a multi-episode arc on Sons of Anarchy. And more Dexter casting! Lights Out actor Billy Brown has joined the show and will play a homicide detective. Oh, these shows. Hiring guest stars just to kill them off.
Anna Kournikova is officially replacing Jillian Michaels as a trainer on The Biggest Loser. Insert stupid pun here about tennis' biggest loser getting the perfect job.
VH1 is rebooting Pop-Up Video with a 60-episode order. The network also ordered second seasons of Mob Wives and Love and Hip Hop. That's more like it. Anyway, it's 2011 -- what's a music video?
MTV's next reality focus is marriage -- the network has ordered a pilot for a show titled Married Young. Potential tagline: Kids who get married young -- almost as stupid as kids who get pregnant young! Teen Mom, I'm looking at you.

I used to love Pop-Up Video. Great to see it's making a comeback. (They should also look into picking up the Canadian show Video On Trial. The two would be great paired together.)
