BLOGS
This week we can finally catch up on a few of our favorite British shows about secret identities.
Being Human: Season 3
Miles ahead of the SyFy remake, the BBC version of Being Human somehow makes its melodrama work as it turns horror genre tropes into almost Freudian-level character dramas. Of course, it is still a TV show about vampires and werewolves. The third season mixed things up a bit with a new home for the spooky flatmates, expanded its paranormal canon to even include the undead, and gave us a pretty awesome ending that doesn't look like it will be retconned any time soon.
Identity
Having trouble trusting crime dramas set in Britain after Law & Order: UK? Well, maybe Identity will restore your faith in the homeland of common law. You can also get a jump on the series before ABC decides to exercise its remake rights.
Penn & Teller Bullshit: Season Eight
Breaking from their charming stage personas, the magical pair have now spent eight seasons spitting skeptical acid at the cable viewing public. This season isn't quite as good as the last for its lack of episodes incurring the wrath of the pope.
Melrose Place: Sixth Season Vol. 1
While this might have been the season the show jumped the shark, at least we can all watch it and agree it's way better than the more recent series that used this classic's name.
According to Jim: Complete Third Season
I know what you're thinking, "It's about time."
Drop Dead Diva: The Complete Second Season
Unlike that Chris Rock movie with the same premise, this show is almost watchable.
Also out this week: Make It or Break It: Season 2, Vol 3 and Boy Meets World: The Complete Fifth Season.
