What If Fringe Star Joshua Jackson Had Never Existed?

If you haven't seen the season finale of Fringe stop reading right now... Anyway, what basically happened is that Peter Bishop went to the future, fixed a bunch of stuff and then had his existence eliminated after the show's two universes finally came together (at least in one room). Thanks, Observers. Not only did the cliffhanger leave us dying to know what will happen next season, but it also made us ponder how our own world would be different if all traces of Joshua Jackson (the actor) was suddenly removed from reality. Here are the awful chain reactions that might occur:

No Vampire Diaries
Without Jackson around to play Pacey on Dawson's Creek, the role may have gone to someone like Jonathan Taylor Thomas, who lacked the charisma required by the role. Audiences would've been skeeved out by wholesome JTT hooking up with his teacher, the show would've been cancelled after one season and Kevin Williamson may not have developed the TV industry clout needed to make The Vampire Diaries as amazing as it is. On the other hand, he also wouldn't have created Hidden Palms, so, you know, silver lining.

Dawson & Joey
If Dawson's Creek did somehow manage to survive without Josh as Pacey, would that Joey's ultimate choice have been different? Would James Van Der Beek have been more appealing when matched up against the likes of JTT, Rider Strong or Mark-Paul Gosselaar?

No Fringe for You
As awesome as Fringe has become with each passing year, it's hard to believe that more than a few people didn't at least initially tune in to see Jackson at work. Without his appealing dimples, would the series have attracted and maintained enough viewers to squeak by the cancellation axe season after season?

The Skulls Might Have Been Even Crappier
And that's saying a lot because it is pretty terrible, even by the low standards we have for movies about secret fraternities. In a lesser star's hands, it would have been utterly excruciating instead of being the finest film to feature the talents of both Paul Walker and Joshua Jackson.

Emilio Might Have Been the Craziest "Sheen"
We like to think that it was Joshua Jackson's endearing performances in all of The Mighty Ducks films that helped inspire Emilio Estevez to follow the straight and narrow, instead of going down his brother's path of hookers and drugs. Estevez was (briefly) married to Paula Abdul, but after that, his life choices appear to have been completely sane.

Blaine Tuttle
Cruel Intentions featured one of Jackson's finest performances as the fabulously gay and preppy Blaine Tuttle. And who else could've done this this role justice since pretty much every other popular actor of that era was already in the movie? Van Der Beek? No w... actually, that might have worked too. But still it wouldn't have been the same.

We'd Have No Reason to Secretly Love Urban Legend
Yes, this minor franchise was a rip-off of Scream, but it at least starred Jackson as a bleached blond. Granted, you could also see him like that in Cruel Intentions, but that film had plenty of other claims to cheesy greatness. Josh (or rather his hair) was the only reason to watch Urban Legend.
