Hopefully this is the last time we ever have to write about The X Factor drama...
...because it's official -- Nicole Scherzinger has replaced Cheryl Cole on the US X Factor. Simon Cowell spoke out on the incident for the first time, insisting that Cheryl's Geordie accent had nothing to do with the bosses' decision. Well, that whole thing was poorly handled!
Josh Duhamel is reprising his role on One Life to Live in August -- one month before the soap opera signs off the air after 41 years.
More casting news: Trevor Donovan, the very best thing about 90210, is leaving the show...Thor actress Jaimie Alexander and Fargo actor Peter Stormare have both signed on for guest-starring roles on this season of Covert Affairs...Jim Parsons will guest-star on iCarly (SQUEE!!!)...and Thomas Gibson's contract negotiations for the seventh season of Criminal Minds have apparently stalled.
Charlie Sheen is not eligible for an Emmy this year for his performance on the eighth season of CBS' Two and a Half Men because he failed to submit himself for consideration. Which is good, because he shouldn't have been eligible any way.
Kevin Smith is producing a new reality series for AMC about comic book stores. The show will be filmed in his own New Jersey comic book store, The Secret Stash. Nothing says classy cable entertainment like nerds obsessed with superheroes. In other words: we will watch every single episode if/when it airs.
In a move only this certain heiress would (or could) make, Paris Hilton is apparently blaming Oxygen for her show's low ratings. Really wish someone would lock her in a room with Tanisha from Bad Girls Club.
And because soaps weren't having a bad year already, it looks like General Hospital is in danger of cancellation.
