The god-awful Glee versus Ryan Murphy versus the world saga continues.
This week saw the beginning of a new season of LA Ink, and while we really, really, really wanted to put Kat Von D on this list for everything that's going on outside of the show, not to mention the fact she got a picture of Jesse James (as a child!) tattooed on her, she was actually really sweet in this episode. It's still a bad idea to get someone's face permanently put on your skin (particularly given what has unfolded since) but she was cute with that little hairless cat and the woman with the dead daughter and that sad girl she inexplicably took in. She may make awful life decisions, but she does them from a good place, so she gets a pass this week. The others on this list... not so much.
On reality television, there is no shortage of people who aren't exactly the brightest bulbs, or who just generally act like idiots in order to gain a little bit of attention. And most of the time, these folks are about as smart as you'd imagine. But lately, we've been noticing a trend of players and personalities who may be cleverer than we might have given them credit for.
Well, that was quick!
In a surprise to many observers, Frank Darabont recently stepped down as the showrunner for The Walking Dead, to be replaced by executive producer Glen Mazzara. While we had some issues with the first season -- most of which had to do with the inadequate scripts and the fact that the annoying Shane didn't die like he was supposed to (on this matter, we'd like to defer to the comic) -- the series has a lot of potential and we hope Mazzara and a new batch of writers help realize it. But at the same time, we can't help thinking about how some other big-name producers could've handled the job...
Today in news -- a Walking Dead shocker, a way to get your Mad Men fix, and an OC alum is coming back to TV.
Who better to act as the study group's new rival than Walter Sobchak himself?
Oh man. I needed earplugs for this one. Just so much screaming and everyone talking over each other. The look of horror on Neil Patrick Harris' face during Watch What Happens Live really spoke volumes about the insanity that unfolded during this hour and a half of vocal adrenaline. Because of all the screaming, it's hard to take anyone's side on anything... and perhaps after my RHONY-induced migraine subsides, I'll be able to process who is right and who is just trying to get more screentime. But for now, here are the superlatives and all-around most insane moments of the night.
The Winchesters get anime-mated and the Jersey Shore crew heads back to the...uh, Jersey shore.
Comic-Con is over, but news is still trickling out...
