The citizens of Eureka head back to the future while The Cape has his crimefighting career tragically cut short.

Eureka: Season 4.0
Looking to shake things up in its fourth year, Eureka hit the big ol' reset button, sending several of its major characters -- including town Sherriff Jack Carter, his on-again, off-again love interest Allison Blake, stern deputy Jo Lupo, sober inventor Henry Deacon and dorky underling Douglas Fargo -- several decades into the past. When they finally got back to the future, they found themselves in a very different reality from what they previously knew. Battlestar Galactica vet James Callis stuck around for a season-long arc as a '40s era-scientist that follows the group to the world of tomorrow.
Extras: A gag reel, deleted scenes, a commentary track on the season premiere and the Warehouse 13 crossover episode.

Southland: The Complete Second Season (Uncensored)
NBC caused a stir when they scuttled this John Wells-produced cop drama after six episodes were already in the can. TNT eventually picked up those six hours -- which are collected here complete with previously bleeped profanities now intact -- and ordered a third and fourth season besides. See, sometimes there are happy endings in the TV business.
Extras: That's a negative, officer.

The Cape: The Complete Series
If this short-lived superhero serial accomplished nothing else, it kept fanboy favorite Summer Glau off the unemployment rolls and served as fodder for this spot-on SNL parody. (Not for nothing, but I'd totally watch the hell out of The Smock.) Cancelled before it completed its run, all thirteen episodes are collected here for those dying to see more of that stylish, yet functional cape in action.
Extras: None.

Also on DVD This Week:
Two generations of teen shows collide with Boy Meets World: The Complete Sixth Season, the latest edition of the mid-'90s TGIF comedy with Ben Savage and Victorious: Season 1, Vol. 1 , the new Nickelodeon series starring Victoria Justice. In other mediocre sitcom news, somebody bothered to put According to Jim: The Complete Fourth Season on DVD. James Belushi probably needs the residuals money now that The Defenders is officially cancelled. Hey, anybody out there remember that Eddie Murphy Claymation series The PJs? No? Then what the heck is The PJs: Season Two doing here?
