We always knew that Bieber kid was a punk.
Hot off his cringe-inducing VMA appearance, where he embarrassed his interviewer/girlfriend Selena Gomez by letting loose with a lame dick joke during a pre-show black carpet conversation and then sitting in his seat expressionless for most of the actual awards, Justin Bieber will make an appearance on the first new episode of MTV's celebrity prank series Punk'd to air on the network since 2007. Bieber apparently punk'd friend and fellow singer Taylor Swift for the show, although the details of the prank are being kept under tight wraps. Tune in whenever the still-unscheduled show premieres to see what went down... unless, like us, you've stopped caring about Bieber by then.
In other morning-after-the VMAs news, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is blaming the weather for his inability to appear on the black carpet alongside the rest of his Jersey boys and girls. While the other cast members flew out of New Jersey's Teterboro airport on a private jet before the storm shut the place down, The Situation got held up en route and didn't make it to the tarmac on time. Apparently he never re-set his watch from Italian time. The CW's new Sarah Michelle Gellar drama Ringer continues to raid the old UPN/WB casting closet, adding Veronica Mars' Jason Dohring to its cast as a teacher that works at the high school Gellar's stepdaughter on the show attends. Wow, so Buffy's now a stepmom and Logan's a high school teacher? We're so freakin' old.
BBC America and Logo are teaming up to revive the cult favorite Brit-com Absolutely Fabulous, which last aired in 2004. Stars Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley will return as bad girls Edina and Patsy respectively for three new specials that will air on both sides of the pond.
After voting to evict Jeff from the Big Brother house last week, Shelly's family has apparently received violent threats from anonymous BB fans. These callers have even left messages with her employer, insisting that she be fired for her vote. C'mon folks -- not even host Julie Chen takes these ejections that seriously and it's her job to pretend to care.
And Jack always seemed like such a stable guy! Lost's Matthew Fox was arrested in Cleveland earlier this morning for allegedly punching the female driver of a private party bus. Early reports suggest that the actor was trying to board the vehicle, only to be informed by the driver that it had been rented by someone else. He then allegedly punched her in the chest and stomach and received a punch in the mouth in return. Apparently, The Avengers is currently filming in the Cleveland area -- could Fox have been auditioning for a role as Thor's pal Hercules?
True Blood's Jessica Tuck has booked a guest-starring role on Castle, playing, natch, a murder suspect that Castle and Beckett interrogate.
So this is how TBS intends to prop up Conan's sagging ratings: turn to Breckin Meyer. The Franklin & Bash star has sold a comedy pilot to TBS about four guys that work at a magazine and will experience lots of "bromance" and "sexcapades." We don't know what's more dated -- the word "bromance" or the fact that these guys work for a magazine.
Sean Jablonski, who oversaw USA's Suits during its first season, won't be back for the show's sophomore year. Instead, series creator Aaron Korsh will step into that slot. But don't worry -- the show will still look and sound like every other USA series.
