Today's TWoP News: Wednesday, August 31th, 2011

Reality announcements, cast reunions and overdone pilot ideas are today's big stories.

The Season 10 cast for The Amazing Race has been revealed, and it features some Survivor winners, a handful of athletes and the youngest person to ever sail around the world alone. Since we'd watch this show even if every contestant was a Kardashian, we're excited (Also: Please never let every contestant be a Kardashian).

And in more reality announcement news (one that actually does have a Kardashian in it, shudder), the Dancing with the Stars Season 13 pairings have also been announced. Carson Kressley isn't paired with a male dancer, which kind of sucks, but at least he's with Anna. And Ricki with Derek? This may put a damper on our predictions.

Bravo will be premiering The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as scheduled, with re-edited episodes and added suicide prevention announcements airing during the programing. And hopefully, for more added cheer, copious amounts of Jiggy footage.

The Shield fans will be happy to hear that there's a mini-reunion in the works: Sons of Anarchy will reunite Benito Martinez and David Rees Snell in multiple episodes. Do you still need more reasons to watch this fantastic show?

In "Oh that's cool, good for them" Modern Family news, Book of Mormon star Josh Gad will guest star this season, and Ed O'Neill got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Frankly, I kind of hate hearing Modern Family news because it always just reminds me that the show's not back on the air yet... it's just plain depressing.

In pilot news, Blues Brothers is the new "fetch" (as in, stop trying to make it happen); Spike Lee is working with HBO on Da Brick an Entourage-style boxing drama loosely based on the rise of Mike Tyson's career (so no ear biting or children eating, we can assume); and just weeks after he sold legal drama Guilty to Fox, Greg Berlanti has sold Golden Boy to CBS. The series is a police drama written and produced by NYPD Blue veteran Nicholas Wootton about a young officer working his way to the top a little too quickly. A cop show on CBS? Now I've heard everything.
