We live on the street where this rw was filmed so we saw them all out and about often, and Zack is very personable and polite in real life, not at all stiff like he comes across in this episode. It may be hard to believe, but he is more attractive in person than he is on the show. Even though it's called Real World San Diego, it was actually filmed in the La Jolla district of Bird Rock, which definitely has a small midwestern city feel. He and Ashley fit in the best out of all of the cast and several of the neighbors were surprised they weren't locals once they saw them with the cameras.

WTF was MTV thinking?!?!? What a lame cast with the exception of a few people! The cast consists of 4 guys (Alexandra,Nate, Sam and Zack)and 3 girls (Ashley, Priscilla and Frank).

I'm not sure why everyone thinks Alexandra is so pretty, she looks like a man, big jaw and facial hair.

OK..let me get started..Zach might be one of the hottest guys ever to be on the show, but by far the dumbest! Ashley is his puppet. She can deny that all she wants, but she will do anything he says. SAM is #1 - she rocks! She is completly real and just says it like it is. The fact that Zach and his puppet won't go to the pride weekend speaks volumes about their characters as human beings. Ashley, "you said you would be uncomfortable" - too bad, that's life. There are uncomfortable situations..You may be too young to understand that, but stand your ground and quit looking like such a obsessed girl who can't make her own decisions. Sam asked you to come with her to the parade because it meant alot to her, a friend does that for other friends. Sam, move on, I am sure you have many other friends who love you and accept you just the way you are..Green, white, purple or gay :)

a) I absolutely detest Zach. His attitude, his rudeness, his inconsiderateness...absolutely despicable. I actually think his less-than-beautiful attitude completely ruins his attractive physical looks; I simply do not find him attractive at all. But beyond that he is such a cliche. Nothing is remotely intriguing, enthralling or spectacular about him. And his quote that he can seduce any woman? Hopefully intellectual women are repelled by him. I would be bored to tears in his presence. I just wish he will slowly disappear into oblivion. Too bad superficial people nowadays would denounce this season if they did. (I am NEVER one to make a comment to bash other people but his intolerance has sparked a deep dislike for him within me).
b) Ashley. I know nothing about her besides her disguised bigotry and the fact that she is obsessed with Zach to the extent that she subjugates herself to him. Other than that she is one dimensional and lacks other facets to her personality.
c) I adore Sam. Generally speaking I have no complaints about her whatsoever. She has a good head on her shoulders. She is inclusive. She is realistic. And she appears to attempt to be as fair as possible in most situations. Good on her.
d) Nate. Although initially I was repelled by Nate as well, his open-minded (eventually) approach to the gay community is something that I will commend. Although he was not altogether comfortable (at all), I am pleased to see that he is making an attempt to be more well rounded. He has his downfalls too but he seems to be a good dude at heart.
e) Priscilla. I was initially a little hesitant in my opinion of her, but after her comment about how people were being so immature (considering their seniority over her in age) about certain situations, she won me over. She is obviously a little less experienced than the others but she is fair and she is honest (i.e. with Frank). All qualities that I can appreciate.
f) Alexandra. Aside from the fact that she seems a little too dependent on her boyfriend for her happiness, I can handle her. She is a little naive despite her supreme intellect (I find) in terms of real-life situations (i.e. Frank being inclined towards her in a romantic manner opposed to a platonic one)
g) Frank....I never know what to think about him. He is unstable and clearly insecure and thus I can't help but feel a small amount of pity for him. He clearly is in dire need of professional help though. He seems like the kind of person entirely baffled by dealing with their negative emotions in a rational manner but has the potential intellectually to bloom as a person if he stopped victimizing himself. Whether he will do that is another story on its own.

God good Zach is nice to look at; if he were a mute he would be perfect.
