Guess who's coming to Sabre.
Maura Tierney is returning to the workplace. The NewsRadio and ER actress will be guest starring on one episode of The Office as the wife of James Spader's Robert California, Dunder Mifflin-Sabre's CEO. Guess which side of the list we put that couple on?
Following Fox's ratings success after making New Girl available online for free prior to the series premiere, NBC will be streaming free episodes of Up All Night and Whitney on Yahoo before they air, beginning today. The deal does not include Free Agents, because NBC does not have the funds to pay America to watch it.
Fox picked up a pilot from Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries) about a mass murderer that uses technology to create a cult of serial killers, and a comedy from How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas about three siblings who reconnect after their fathers death. As long as Bays and Thomas's series begins after the lead tells the story of how their father died, they're already off to a better start.
True Blood's Joe Manganiello will be guest starring on Two and a Half Men as the boyfriend of Ashton Kutcher's ex, Bridget (Judy Greer). If he appears shirtless, we may have to watch... merely for professional reasons. Uh huh.
Charlie Sheen, Warner Brothers and Chuck Lorre have finally settled the dispute from Sheen's $100 million lawsuit for being fired. Although financial statements weren't disclosed, Sheen is still winning: it has been speculated he received $25 million. In related news, after last night's Two and a Half Men, Chuck Lorre's vanity card hinted he might write a tell-all book. Glad all of the multimillionaires are acting like adults about this.
Good news, taxpayers of New Jersey: Chris Christie announced Jersey Shore will not be getting the $420,000 tax credit for boosting the area's economic growth. Glad to see Deena and Snooki are already saving MTV money by reducing their underwear budget.
Speaking of politics, Leslie Knope's city council campaign is up and running.
And finally, Dance Moms has been renewed. The Lifetime series averaged 1.3 million viewers every week this season, which we attribute to the power of Shangela.
