How I Met Your Mother: Season 6
It was a rough season for our once-beloved New York pals. First, Ted got into a misguided relationship with the terminally annoying Zoey (Jennifer Morrison, who we don't blame for Zoey's suckiness... at least, not entirely); then Barney discovered his real dad (John Lithgow) in a storyline that began with great promise and went nowhere; meanwhile, poor Robin continued to be squandered as a character; and, finally, Marshall and Lily's baby fever made them generally unpleasant to be around. The only thing that really worked last year was the death of Marshall's dad and that's mainly because we were relieved on the actor's behalf that he wouldn't have to be on this sinking ship of a show anymore. Here's to a better (we hope) Season 7.

How to Make it in America: Season 1
As Entourage approached its overdue finale, series producer and inspiration Mark Wahlberg launched his second HBO series about a group of New York City-based hustlers (including Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk) trying to make a name for themselves in the fashion industry. While not as guest-star heavy as Entourage, America does boast regular and recurring roles for such personalities as rapper Kid Cudi and Raising Hope star Martha Plimpton. Greeted by generally positive reviews and decent numbers, the series returns for Season 2 this weekend, along with the third season of Hung, which just released its second season on DVD.
Extras: A featurette about the lives of New York City skateboarders, interviews with the cast and crew about how they hustled their way to success, deleted scenes and commentary tracks on all eight episodes.

The Middle: The Complete Second Season
With all the hubbub over Modern Family, people often forget that this Patricia Heaton-led family sitcom is doing all right for itself as well, holding its own against formidable competition like Survivor and now The X Factor. Scrubs stalwart Neil Flynn plays Heaton's sarcastic hubby and Chris Kattan and Brian Doyle-Murray appears in recurring roles. Last season also featured a guest spot from Heaton's former sitcom mom-in-law Doris Roberts and that's not the only ex-Everybody Loves Raymond player to stop by -- Raymond himself popped up on The Middle's Season 3 premiere last week.
Extras: A gag reel and unaired scenes.

Married... With Children: The Complete Series
With three out of the four leads of this generation-defining sitcom gainfully employed on other shows (poor David Faustino... always the runt of the litter), here's a chance to revisit the series that gave Ed O'Neill, Katey Sagal and Christina Applegate got their big breaks. Running for a whopping eleven years and 262 episodes, Married... is a fascinating time capsule of late '80s and early '90s fashions, pop culture references and guest stars (Jessica Hahn! Joey Lauren Adams!) It also boasts one of the most obnoxious laugh tracks in history, which the makers of Whitney seem to have borrowed for their own series.
Extras: None. But with 262 episodes to watch, you wouldn't have any time for bonus features anyway.

Dawson's Creek: The Complete Series and The King of Queens: The Complete Series collect the entire runs of both The WB's teen primetime soap and CBS' working-class sitcom respectively. CSI fans have their weekend plans set: CSI: The Eleventh Season, CSI: Miami: The Ninth Season, and CSI: NY: The Seventh Season all arrive on DVD this week. Elsewhere, Law & Order: SVU - The Twelfth Year, which marks Christopher Meloni's last appearance on the final Law & Order franchise standing, streets, along with Lifetime's popular drama, Army Wives: The Complete Fifth Season. Finally, animation lovers can choose between The Cleveland Show: Season 2 from Seth MacFarlane and The Looney Tunes Show Season 1 Volume 1, a new series starring Bugs, Daffy and the rest of the Looney Tunes crew.
