The '90s are here yet again.
Fox ordered two mid-season anniversary specials of '90s sketch comedy series In Living Color, with Keenen Ivory Wayans to host and executive produce. The show that launched the careers of Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx, Damon Wayans, David Alan Grier and even Jennifer Lopez probably won't feature them (save for Wayans, since they can't do any projects without the family), however. The reboot will have a "contemporary take" with an all-new cast and musical performances. However, they can't have a reboot without Homey D. Clown, possibly getting even with The Man at Occupy Wall Street?
Freaky or funny?: American Horror Story has been renewed for a second season.
Dancing with the Stars alum Chelsea Kane will play the lead in ABC Family's upcoming comedy Baby Daddy. The comedy focuses on Ben, 20-something who becomes a dad after his ex-girlfriend surprises him with their baby on his doorstep. He raises the baby with the help of his mother, his brother, and his friend Penny (played by Kane), who has a crush on him. Is it just me or does this sound almost exactly like Raising Hope?
Bob's Burgers is still in business. Fox ordered nine more episodes of Season 2 before it even debuts mid-season, bringing the total count of episodes to 22. Consider the qualities of Allen Gregory and the upcoming Napoleon Dynamite, Fox is clearing doing some preemptive damage control.
CBS bought an adaptation of the Israeli hit Life Isn't Everything. The comedy is about a divorced couple who is worse at divorced life than being married -- they're still involved in each other's lives and end up in bed together. You sure this isn't an adaptation of 2009's It's Complicated?
NBC bought Awesome Splendor, a drama project about "the world of rock 'n' roll," from Maroon 5's Adam Levine, who will also executive produce alongside his manager, Jordan Feldstein. I didn't know being a member of Maroon 5 qualified as "rock 'n' roll."
In what sounds like a cute premise to a Pixar movie, ABC picked up a comedy from Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love.; Cars) about a normal family that moves into a condominium complex that just happens to house aliens.
Remember The Buried Life, the show that was basically the anti-Jersey Shore? Well, MTV canceled it. The guys' list isn't quite over yet, however: They signed a development deal with MTVX, the network's cross-platform media group (not to be confused with the former music video channel), allowing them to explore new shows and projects along the show's main themes. Maybe a new bucket list should take them to New Jersey so they can seem relevant to the network again.
Now you can watch pretty people looking pretty whenever you want. The CW signed a five-year licensing deal with Hulu that allows both the free ad-supported Hulu and Hulu Plus to stream current-season CW shows. Similarly, Disney-ABC extended their deal with Netflix, allowing the service to stream shows 30 days after the season finishes and add all episodes of prior shows, including Alias and Lost. So when is Fox going to get with the program and let people besides DISH Network subscribers watch New Girl the night after it airs?
If you want to see something really scary tonight, tune into WWE's Monday Night Raw. Tonight's guest stars are none other than the Muppets! Nine of our favorite felt puppets will be interacting with WWE wrestlers during the two-hour show to promote their upcoming movie. No word on if stuffing will be flying in the ring (although I bet Miss Piggy would be pretty vicious in there).
