Glee fans, rejoice: It looks like Trouty Mouth is coming back after all.
Although Chord Overstreet initially denied returning to Glee after he wasn't made a series regular, it looks like he's changed his mind. After Ryan Murphy already shipped Sam Evans away with his father, Overstreet is in negotiations to return for several episodes as a recurring character. No word yet on how Trouty Mouth will come back to McKinley, but it's guaranteed to come out of nowhere, not be very well explained, and be accompanied with at least two song-and-dance numbers.
Things just got a whole new level of meta over at Community. 3rd Rock From the Sun's French Stewart will guest star as Vincent, the owner of a celebrity impersonator business and noted French Stewart impersonator that Abed becomes indebted to after reenacting films using impersonators. So, this is pretty much going to be the best episode of Community ever.
The Good Wife isn't slowing down on the guest stars anytime soon. Amy Sedaris will guest star as a lobbyist that competes with Eli Gold. While I'm a little skeptical another guest star, I'll let this one slide 'cause it's Amy.
Walter Skinner is going to Dallas. X Files's Mitch Pileggi joined TNT's Dallas as Harris Ryland, Ann's (Brenda Strong) "alpha male" ex-husband and owner of Ryland Trucking and Shipping. Pileggi as an alpha male? Sounds like perfect casting to me!
HBO and Scott Rudin are adapting Swamplandia, Karen Russell's book, into a half-hour comedy. The book focuses on Ava Bigtree, a 12-year-old alligator wrestler who embarks on a journey through southwest Florida to find her long-lost sister. Unfortunately, Ava will probably be played by an actress that is nowhere near the age of 12.
FX is developing Drones, a dark comedy from Divide Pictures, Milo Ventimiglia and Russ Cundiff's production company. The show will be about drone pilots that commute to war from Nevada, because killing people using machines is always hilarious.
Sometimes using what you know best isn't always the greatest idea. Kelsey Grammer is producing Generations, a comedy about a man married to a younger woman who still has to deal with his crazy ex-wife, which sounds exactly like his relationship with Camille Grammer. This is so not going to end well.
It's baaaaack! Fear Factor will be returning to NBC for the first time since 2006 on December 12 with a two-hour season premiere. The show will, as always, be hosted by Joe Rogan, but the stunts will use modern technology to make them that much scarier (upcoming stunt titles include "Towering Inferno" and "Helicopter TNT Crash"....) The scariest part? It's going to be available in HD, which means seeing those 453,831,970-year-old eggs and tanks full of spiders in better quality than anyone would ever want to.
