Farewell, bunnies.
NBC has cancelled Playboy Club (making it this season's first cancellation), and renewed Up All Night and Whitney. Guess the Peacock wants to let its comedies shine these days.
Fox is threatening to end The Simpsons if the voice actors don't agree to a 45 percent pay cut. The actors offered to take a 30 percent pay cut in exchange for a small percentage of the show's back-end profits, but Fox declined. D'oh indeed.
Will Arnett will return to 30 Rock as Devon Banks, the former VP for West Coast News for NBC and the man Jack Donaghy hate-respects. Hopefully he'll have more scenes with Kenneth, since no one can seduce another with a bottle of juice quite like those two.
Original Charlie's Angels star Cheryl Ladd will be guest starring on Chuck as Sarah's mom, who left Sarah when she was young and hasn't seen her in five years. As long as they keep Ladd off the Charlie's Angels reboot, we're good.
Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta will develop a half-hour comedy based off Texts From Last Night, a website that posts embarrassing text messages from wild nights, because it's such a good idea to base a television show off a blog, as $#*! My Dad Says learned.
Remember that Hot in Cleveland episode where Cedric the Entertainer played a minister? Turns out it was a backdoor pilot for a potential spinoff series starring Cedric, which TV Land finally ordered a pilot for. Surprise!
TruTV picked up Killer Karaoke, a singing competition where contestants will be put through extreme physical challenges while belting out hit songs, with Steve-O fittingly as host. I'm not so sure which would be more painful -- singing "California Gurls" wearing a bikini made of bees, or watching someone else garble their way through the song in said bee bikini.
Following the verdict on the Amanda Knox case yesterday, Lifetime plans to update their movie, Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy, which starred Hayden Panettiere, with a new opening and closing card that reflects the overturned conviction. The movie will air tonight, Wednesday and Thursday on the network, as part of a schedule that was set weeks in advance, according to Lifetime, and not due to the trial. Suuuure it was.
